After the loss of Sheele, the Night Raid members try to pick up the pieces. Akami shows her true feelings of grief to Tatsumi. He swears to her that "He will not die!" With those words, he begins to train more vigorously.

Meanwhile, Esdeath's group, The Three Beasts, are killing elite members of society who don't fully support the Empire. They are making it look as though the killings were done by Night Raid.

Najenda sends the group out to find, stop, and defeat the Three Beasts!
