Continuing from last episode, Shu is up against Phi. In the 1st battle, Spriggan tosses Dead Phoenix out of the ring. It looks as if the bey had burst. However, since Dead Phoenix had hit the ground before the burst, Shu is only awarded 1 point for a ring out finish.
The 2nd round is close...very close. The two beys have been simultaneously thrown out of the stadium, but since Spriggan hit the ground first (see image), Phi takes the point. It is now 1-1 and Shu's blood is beginning to boil. Will Redeye show his face once again?
In the 3rd round Shu uses his left-spin stamina approach. Phoenix's Dead Armor comes off in battle. Phi deliberately tries to shroud Shu in darkness, but Shu won't let that happen. Spriggan is tossed into the air and changes to attack mode. Phi orders Phoenix to destroy and with his dead stinger press, it does just that. Spriggan bursts into pieces.
Both Valt and Aiga angrily want to challenge Phi, but Valt gives in to Aiga. Aiga begins to train with Ranjiro, Fubuki, and Kit at the Bulls center. Valt tells Shu that Aiga needs something, and he believes that Shu can help.
