Even though Valt initially suggested a beyblade club, Rantaro is the leader of the club. He actually does a very good job of training Valt and the others, and he is often referred to as boss. (Although I noticed in the English version, he is referred to as Honcho (like head honcho).
Rantaro comes across as too overconfident only to be defeated more often than not. He is rarely seen without his signature lollipop and large fan. He has a strange habit of resting his hands in the top of his pants when not blading.
Rantaro's beyblade is Rising Ragnaruk a.k.a. Rising Roktavor, a stamina-type bey.
