Just as Wakiya hoped, Valt's crushing defeat has effected his blading. Valt can't get Wakiya out of his head and everywhere he turns, he sees the spiky blond boy. Valt's friends in the BeyClub try to convince Valt that he shouldn't let his emotions affect his blading.

Elsewhere, Shu is about to launch when Nika runs up, tripping and running into him. Something snaps in Shu's shoulder, but he is more worried if Nika is OK and doesn't show any sign of pain. He tells the twins to give Valt a message, "Is Valkyrie happy?"

A little while later, Valt watches as Nika and Tokonatsu are blading outside with a friend. He realizes that they are having fun and enjoying themselves, which is what beyblade is all about. His whole attitude changed for the better.

At the hospital, Shu is having his shoulder examined. The doctor tells him that he needs to rest his shoulder for at least a month for it to heal. Orochi happens to be walking on the other side of the street when Shu is leaving and wonders if Shu's tuning is off?

At school the next day, Valt claims "he's back" and begs Shu for a match. Shu declines at first, but then agrees. Shu's shoulder is hurting, but he won't let on. To everyone's surprise, he changes his stance saying that he's just trying something new. He wins with a burst and praises Valt for getting so much better. Even though he lost to Shu, Valt is back to his cheerful self.
