Chapter 1: Chains and Shackles

 

P.S. You can tell if another character is talking when a line is skipped.

 

The day was foggy. Sakura had just had dinner before she went to her room. She was tired, but knew she had to go meet Li at the park. Her parents couldn’t know she was leaving since she was grounded. So Sakura released her staff. “LOCK” she shouted, the lock card glowed and the door locked itself. “That should make sure no one gets in, FLY” She sprouted wings on her back and flew off into the sunset.

 

Sakura safely landed at the park. “Finally, what took you so long to get here Sakura?” yelled Li.

“Nothing, I just finished eating dinner.” Sakura replied.

 

“Now, back to business. There have been rumors that some new Clow cards have been activated and released. We have to find them before they cause any trouble.” Li explained.

 

“And you believe these rumors?”

 

“There is a reason why I chose the park to meet you out of all locations.”

 

“WHY?”

 

Li pointed behind Sakura. She turned around to see the trees covered with something. They were sagging as if a weight was on them.

 

“What that on the trees?” Sakura asked

 

“Why don’t you use Glow and find out.”

 

“Fine, GLOW RELEASE!” The little pixie sent magical glowing orbs toward the trees. Once they got close enough, Li and Sakura could tell what was on the trees.

 

“Chains, where did they come from?” Sakura inquired

 

“I don’t know” replied Li “Try capturing it using your wand.”

“Fine, But I’ll need to get closer.”

 

Sakura ran up to the trees only to get wrapped in a barrage of chains.

 

“Li, Help I’m trapped!”

 

“I'm coming! Force, know my plight, release the light!”

 

A bolt of lightning came out of Li’s sword and hit the chains. The chains retracted into what seemed to be a black hole.

 

“Thanks Li” said Sakura, “This time, Ill stop the chains first. TIME CARD!” Time at that moment stopped. Only Sakura wasn’t affected. “Perfect, now to get the card.  Clow-card return to your power combined!!!” The chains started to get absorbed into the card. Once complete, time started again.

 

What happened, did you stop time?” asked Li

 

“Yup and look!” Sakura showed the card to Li. “The chain card, isn’t it cool?”

 

“Yeah, but this means a whole new adventure for us”

 

“I know, but we’re ready!”

 

Li and Sakura want back home and fell asleep.
