Chapter 3: Off-firmative
A great blizzard hit Sakura’s town with great force. The snow was piling up to a yard high. It was impossible for anyone to go outside. Of course, Sakura wasn’t a normal girl. “I can’t believe I have to go to school. The snow goes up to my hips! This will make it easier, but I hope no one can see. FLOAT, RELEASE!” Sakura was able to walk on the snow without sinking. She thought of using the snow card to stop the snow, or fire to melt it, but that would be visible to people.
When she finally got to the school, she saw that it was closed. “My brother tricked me! I'm going to kill him if I have to use the Clow card to do it! She got back home and jumped on to his brother. It ended up being Li who she jumped on. “Sorry Li”
“That’s OK; I need to talk to you in private. Where have you been, you’re covered in snow?”
“My brother told me that there was school today.”
“And you believed him, HAHAHAHAHAHA”
“I'm glad you find it amusing, but what do you have to tell me.”
“Well, this storm seems kind of severe for it to be normal. I think a Clow card is coming.”
“You think a Clow card is causing the blizzard?”
“NO, I think the fact a Clow card will reveal itself soon is causing nature to be imbalanced. We need to stay as a look out, or else…”
At that moment, the lights turned off.
“Oh no, the Clow card has attacked” yelled Li.
“No, the power has been knocked out because of the storm. Just light some candles” said Sakura, “Where are my parents?
“They said that they went to the cellar, so we are alone.”
“Good; GLOW, RELEASE!” Orbs of light filled the living room. “My parents always act as if there was a tornado coming. It’s probably colder in the cellar than here.”
All of the sudden, the TV turned on. “The blizzard is the hardest in over 5 years” the News reporter stated. Fortunately, the power lines have been protected and everything will be fine.”
“If the power isn’t out, then there is a Clow card interfering” Said Li.
“Right, Ill summons my wand.” Once her wand was summoned, a weird energy seemed to hit the wand. The wand then turned back into a key. “What happened, something stopped my wand?’
“If it’s affecting the power, then it’s in the fuse box!” says Li. He ran to the fuse box and opened it. A weird girl popped out. “Force, know my plight, release the light! The bolt of lightning flew toward the girl, but then slowly disappeared on the way. “Fine, take this!” Li then stabbed the girl. The girl then seemed to stretch out and vaporize into a card. Li picked it up. “The Off card, it turns things off, literally and metaphorically. It “turned off” your wand back into a key, and turned off my lightning strike.
“Well, that card will come in handy later.”
“Right”
Now that the power was on, Li and Sakura spent all night watching movies and talking. They fell asleep on the couch together, and were found by Sakura’s parent.
It was then they both felt that there relationship was more than just friendship.
