Dark, Blaque Secrets

   Sakura woke up in her bed and smiled at the sunshine.  For once it was actually sunny outside after 3 weeks of continuous rain.  She got up and woke Kero.

"Uhhh, I don't wanna get up..."

   Sakura sighed and put on her uniform, ready for a day at Readington Junior High at 14 years old.  She could hardly wait to see Madison, Eli, Meilin, and most of all, her crush Li at 14 years old.  Meilin got over her crush on Li and was usually focused on a guy named Miiko. (More on him later.)  Li and Sakura were almost a couple but became best friends, but still one shouldn't give up hope... (Awwww…I love my fanfic. ^_^)

"I wonder if he will be at school today for once."

   For a month, Li had been skipping school and hanging out with a bunch of thugs at the park.  Li had also just started smoking and drinking beer.  Sakura has not been seeing him as often, and she sometimes had to capture Clow cards by herself.  When ever she did see him, he just yelled at her which would leave her crying as she went home.  Meilin always tried to comfort her, telling her that Li was just a piece of trash, but nothing had worked.  He had changed for the worst.

   Sakura walked to school with Madison, and they walked by one of the favorite of Li's gang's hangout.  They were all smoking and barked at Madison and Sakura.  Li just turned the other way, not looking at Sakura.  Sakura held back tears and walked off to school.  Li wasn't going to be in school today.

"Sakura are you Ok?"  Asked Madison and Meilin as they ate their lunch.

   Sakura hadn't eaten a single bite of her food; she kept thinking about Li.  Li just dropped by to eat lunch and said hi to Madison.

"You're thinking about Li, aren't you?"

"Yeah, and wondering why he doesn't even look at me..."

   Madison looked at Sakura with the most pitiful look.  She sighed; it was about time Sakura knew the truth.

"Sakura, Li isn't looking at you because...well...he is under a contract made by Eli (Clow Reed).  He can't look at you because, under the contract, he is in part of a test to see how you fare without help from him.  It's harsh but it’s almost over, so don't worry about it..."

"But that doesn't explain why he is acting like a punk."

"You talking about me?"

   Sakura turned around to see Li.  He was wearing a black leather jacket and his hair was slicked back except for a lock of hair that fell between his handsome auburn eyes.  Sakura blushed and got up to walk away.  Li grabbed her hand.

“Li, let her go!!!  She doesn’t want to talk to you!!!”  Said Meilin as she glared at Li.

"Wait.  The darn test is over, and I just want to talk to you."  Li said gently.

   Sakura reluctantly agreed and followed Li outside to the courtyard.  Li suddenly stopped and pulled Sakura close.  His breath stank of cigarettes. 

(Ewww…>_<’)

"Look, I'm sorry I'm the way I'm acting right now but I..."

   Li didn't get to finish his sentence because Sakura pulled him closer and banged him on head.  Li pulled back and smiled at her with a funny look on his face.  Sakura sniffed back tears.

"That was for ignoring me for all this time.  I don't know what your problem is but I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way."

   Sakura took one good look at him and sat on a bench.  Li looked at her with a pitiful look and kneeled down to her.  Her face was wet and Li sighed.

"I'm sorry.  I have been a jerk to you and I deserve all your anger at me.  Go ahead, slap me right here."

   Sakura looked at Li to have him facing her pointing to his cheek to slap him and his eyes closed.  She smiled as she got prepared to slap him.  She pulled her hand back and...

   Sakura kissed him lightly on the cheek.  Li opened his eyes and discovered Sakura gone.  He touched his cheek and blushed as he thought of Sakura's lips touching his face.  He shuffled his feet and walked out of the campus.

   Later, in Readington Park, Li was with his gang, hanging out and drinking beer.  They were talking most about the girls in school; especially Sakura.  Li tried not to listen but started to get a bit jealous.

"Did you see Sakura during cheerleading practice?  She was totally hot and fine..."

"Yeah, I bet I can get her to go out with me..."

   Li turned about and punched the guys that were saying things about Sakura.  He glared at them when they recovered.  Both boys stared at him and Li just stomped away.

"What's his problem...oh I forgot!!!  Sakura is Li's girl!!!"

"No wonder he exploded..."

   Li walked all the way to Sakura's house while it rained and climbed the tree next to her bedroom window.  She was gently sleeping as he unlocked her window.  He jumped inside her room, dripping wet, and made his way over to her bed.  She was facing the window and the moonlight was shining on her face.  Li kneeled by her bed and ran his fingers through her hair.

“Hey…Sakura…it’s me Li.”  Li whispered softly as her shook her arm.

   Sakura jostled and kicked him in the face.  Li fell back and rubbed the blood coming from his nose.  Sakura woke up.

“Li!!!  Oh, you’re hurt!!!  Here let me get you a tissue!  Oh gosh, I’m sorry…”

   Li stopped Sakura by putting his finger to her lips.  She stayed quiet as Li rubbed his nose.  Li finally looked at Sakura.

“You hit me with your foot as I was trying to wake you.  I think I deserved it.”

“Sorry.  Anyway, what the heck are you doing here?”

   Li sighed.

“I came to tell you why I am acting like a punk.  One time as I was walking home from school, a bunch of thugs jumped me and wanted me to join them.”

“And…”

“And if I refused, they would hurt the most important thing in my life: you.”

   Sakura was shocked as he told her this.  So Li did love her after all!!!  She wanted to kiss him and tell him that she loved him too but that would be kind of weird.

“You still shouldn’t have listened to them.  I can take care of myself ya know.  I don’t always need you, prince charming, to protect me.”

“I guess but still…”

   Sakura won the battle.  Li grinned as Sakura started to smile.  Sakura jumped out of bed and guided Li to the window.  He climbed onto the tree branch and turned to say goodnight.

“’Night Sakura.”

“’Night Li.  Wait…”

“What?”

“I love you.”  Said Sakura as she leaned forward and kissed him.  Li kissed her back and as he climbed down and walked down to his apartment, he felt like a new man.

   The next morning, Li woke up early to get ready for school.  He looked at the mirror at his hair and decided to leave it messed up instead of slicked back.  He also decided to put on his school uniform.  At the same time, Sakura got ready and was practically flying as she skated to school.  Li and Sakura got there both at the same time, stunned.

“Er…hi.”  Said Li shyly as he approached Sakura.

"Hi."  Said Sakura breathlessly as Li walked up to her; Li's hair was messed up like it used to be.

   Sakura and Li kissed each other and took a walk around the courtyard.  Some kids saw them whispered to each other and laughed at them, but they didn't mind.  Madison, Meilin, and Eli saw them and grinned at each other.  Mission accomplished.

   Sakura's school rival, Leslie stared at Sakura and Li as they held hands on the bench.  She sent one of her cronies to spy on them.  Sakura and Li started kissing again and Sakura started to mess up his hair.  He laughed and grabbed her around her tiny waist.  Sakura shrieked and giggled as Li held her tight and laughed.  

“Hey Li!!!  Quit it!!!  That tickles!!!”  Laughed Sakura as Li picked her up.

“What, and ruin all the fun?”

   The bell rang and Leslie’s spy came to report what she saw.  Leslie burned up with rage and stomped toward English while Li and Sakura walked to History holding hands.

   After school, Sakura and Li walked to Li’s house to study since Tory kept calling Li a gaki and glaring at the two as they tried to kiss each other.  Li and Sakura studied and were also examining each others faces way up CLOSE.  Kero kept making wretching sounds as they kissed each other.

“Ok, you two, why don’t you…uhhh…ok guys…um…guys… HEY YOU GAKIS!!!!”  Kero yelled at the top of his little lion lungs.  Sakura and Li broke the kiss and glared at Kero.  He sweat dropped.

“What munchkin?”

“Didn’t you sense that powerful aura?”

“Well, now I do and it feels really weird, not like a clow card…”  Said Sakura.

    Sakura, Li, Madison, Meilin, Eli, and Kero followed the presence to Penguin Park.  Madison and Meilin kept bugging Li and Sakura about their love life.  Madison was also trying to get them to put on her latest battle costumes: a blaque leotard with rhinestones with a cape and blaque knee-high boots with a lop-sided over-sized witch hat and for Madison’s own entertainment, a mask, blood red lipstick, and cat-eye contacts for Sakura.  Li got a vampire costume with fangs with his hair slicked back with pale white skin and “hypnotica” contacts with (of course) his sword.  Madison got a shot of both of them with stars in her eyes as they modeled for her.  Eli had to stifle his laughter; they looked kinda stupid.

“Ok, enough messing around.  Let’s see what’s up with that presence.”  Kero said impatiently.  The group walked for a long time and Madison kept trying to get Sakura to model for her more.

   After an hour, they lost the presence and couldn’t sense the aura any more.

“This was a big waste of time.  I think that aura is lost….AHHHHHHHHHH!”

   Sakura started screaming and clutching her head as though it was bulging with excruciating pain.  Li ran to her aid and held Sakura in his arms.  She was moaning and groaning and couldn’t stop the pain.  Li tried to calm her down but she continued to scream and cry.  Sakura was hearing horrible things in her mind, telling her that her friends and her family would die because she did something bad.  She felt like her head would burst with the awful words she heard. 

“Li!!!  Make the pain stop!!!  It hurts so badly!!!  Make it stop!!!”  Sakura was hysterical.

Li tried all his incantations and spells but nothing would work against Sakura’s pain.  For the first time in his life, Li was showing weakness.  Madison was panicking and crying.  Eli was trying to find an ofuda in his pack and Meilin was trying to calm down Madison.  Li was about to give up when an idea popped into his mind.  It was dangerous but it would be worth it to rid Sakura of her intense pain.  Holding her hand he chanted a spell.

“Force know my plight, release the light!!!  Heal her and destroy the pain!!!”

(I know, lame spell but I couldn’t think of anything else. ^_^’ )

   All of a sudden, a light glowed from Li and flew into Sakura.  Sakura relaxed and Li fell on top of her.  Sakura gasped as she saw Li on top of her, unconscious.  She thought he was dead until she noticed his aura was very weak.  She smiled and kissed him on the forehead.  Eli gaped at what Li just did.  Meilin started to jump with joy.

“Ha!  I got that on tape!!!  That was really brave!  I hope something like that happens again…”

   Sakura glared at Madison so she had to shut-up.  Sakura picked up Li and took him to his apartment and put him to bed, wondering why he had panicked when he usually is calm, cool, and collected.

“So, the brat rescued you by giving you part of his aura?  Huh, I guess that brat has some brains in that over-sized head after all.  I couldn’t even master that spell when Clow Reed created me, and I’m ten times stronger than that little twerp.”  Kero said after Sakura told him the details of what happened since he fell asleep in Meilin's backpack.

“I thought he was gonna die when he did that spell ‘cause…”

“Never mind, get some sleep kid.  Got a long day tomorrow.”

   Sakura stared at the ceiling as she thought of Li and his bravery, but she was also worried that he was showing weakness for the first time in the while she had known him.  She put her head under her pillow and fell asleep almost instantly.

“So, she’s the new Clow mistress?  She’s pretty pathetic.”  Said a young girl as she watched Sakura from her crystal ball.  The girl had green hair in pig-tail buns and a long off-the-shoulder dress with giant, gothic bat wings.

   The young girl smiled mischievously as she cast a spell on Sakura.  A shadow flew into Sakura’s aura and she glowed for a bit and dimmed.

“That should take care of her so that Li will be all mine and my brother will have a lovely new wife, or else a delicious tender snack…”

   The girl floated into the air and flew to Li’s apartment.  Li was sleeping soundly as the girl walked to his bed.  She murmured something and a little light flew into Li’s mouth.  The girl then kissed her love on the lips and disappeared into the shadows.

   The next day, Sakura skated as fast as she could so she could meet Li and thank him.  Li, on the other hand, was in the park waiting for someone.  Sakura couldn’t find Li and figured he had gotten sick.

   Through out the whole day until lunch, Sakura was getting creepy vibes from the park.  At lunch, Sakura ran to the park with Madison to check out what was going on.  When they rounded the corner, Sakura nearly gasped.

   Li was there all right, but he was French kissing a girl with pig-tail buns that Sakura thought was Meilin until she noticed that the girl had a weird freaky blaque aura when Meilin’s was purple.  Sakura ran over to them and pried them apart.

“Li, what are you doing here with this slutz…oh!”

   Sakura noticed that Li’s eyes weren’t the warm auburn eyes she knew and loved, but were dark, empty, and cold.  The girl grinned as she saw Sakura’s disbelief.

“Well, well, well!  It seems that the Clow mistress lost her precious little boy friend to a powerful sorceress!!!  My name is…never mind.  Just call me Blaque Kitty.  Try to get your boy friend back?  I think not!!!”

   Blaque Kitty floated into the air and sat on the air.

“Honey-Bun,” Said Blaque Kitty in a very vile girlish voice.” Get rid of this girl and make sure you yank and/or rip her heart out to feed to my brother…he loves the hearts!”

   Li summoned his sword and started to attack Sakura like a mad animal.  Sakura dodged each shot easily, but was getting real annoyed that possessed Li would be a huge pushover.  As Li charged at her, Sakura jumped and balanced on the sword blade on one hand (imagine that move; it would look real cool! ^_^) and the moment froze for a good 7 seconds, giving time for Sakura to push off the blade toward Blaque Kitty, bringing her back down to Earth.

“Honey-Bun!!!  Get this abomination off me!!!  She is ruining my hair!!!”  Cried Blaque Kitty as Sakura pinned her to the ground.  Li charged at Sakura again and Sakura jumped out of the way, narrowly missing it this time.  Madison was in the background, watching the whole thing and filming it with her video camera.  Sakura was about to pull out her wand when Sakura realized she couldn’t use her Clow cards.  Sakura called back her wand and continued to dodge Li’s attacks until Li got lucky and grazed her side.

“AHHH!”  Yelled Sakura as she stumbled.  She started to bleed but Sakura didn’t care.  She motioned Li to come get her and he charged at her again.  Sakura threw dirt in his eyes and he struggled to get it out.  Sakura spun him around and kissed him.  Li blinked and broke the kiss and grabbed his sword.  He turned to Blaque Kitty; he was back.

“Hey Kitty, it was nice and all but you just ain’t my type.  Besides that I don’t date girls that wear pigtail buns!!!”  Li yelled at Blaque Kitty.

“Don’t worry!!!  I’m gonna get you back, sweetheart!!!”  Blaque Kitty threw a smoke bomb and when the smoke cleared she was gone.

   Sakura looked at Li and Li looked at Sakura.  Li started to hug Sakura but she slapped him.  Li was shocked as he rubbed his face.

“What I do?”

“Li, first of all, you were French-kissing that hoe!!!  Second, you nearly killed me!!!  Third, you didn’t even say you were sorry!!!”

“You know I didn’t mean it!!!”  Li said pleadingly.  “Honest, I would never kiss another girl willingly!!!  You know I love you!!!  Can you forgive me?”  Asked Li, groveling on his feet.

“Well…Ok, but only under one condition!!!”

“Anything!!!”

“First, you take me mall shopping every day this week.  Second, practice French-kissing with me!!!”  Said Sakura, blushing a bit.

“A week?!?!?  Ok!  Let’s seal the deal!!!”  Said Li as he pulled Sakura into a long, breathless kiss which lasted for about 10 minutes.

“Oh, and I copied your martial arts move Li and used it against you!!!  I kicked your butt big-time!!!”  Sakura boasted with glee as Li sweat-dropped.

   All of a sudden, Madison popped out and smiled triumphantly.

“I caught it all on tape!!!  I can’t wait to show it at this year's Film Festival…just kidding!!!  Madison said quickly as Sakura and Li sweat dropped.

A whole week!!!  This is gonna be a long one, thanks to me for screwin’ up!!!  Thought Li as Sakura continued to talk about the great move she pulled off.

   Eli was watching from the trees as Li, Sakura, and Madison ran back to the school.

Very impressive Sakura.  I see that you are learning your skills very well.  Hopefully, you will be ready for the evil that lies in your future…and Li needs to understand the consequences of that spell he pulled off…if he does it three times, he’ll… Eli thought as he continued to look at them.  With a simple, mysterious smile, Eli disappeared.
