Sakura and Her Kind Father

Sakura's father (Fujitaka) will be presenting a very important research article at his next conference so he's been working day and night on it. Sakura and Tori want to help out so they volunteer to do all of the chores.

That evening Fujitaka tells Sakura that he will be working at the University this weekend. The little cardcaptor wants to make her father comfortable so she decides to bring him lunch at the University, and Tomoyo is very happy to accompany her best friend. While there, they meet some of Fujitaka's students and are shown him giving one of his lectures. The girls are very impressed.

After the lecture, the students lead Sakura to her father's office so she can give him his lunch. While in there, he suddenly falls asleep. Sakura believes he's been working too hard and needs some coffee. Her and Tomoyo run out to get some. They come back to find his office empty. In a nearby room the other students are studying. Sakura asks where her father might be, and she is told he stepped out for a moment. All at once the other students began to doze off. Kero and Sakura knew it must be the work of a clow card. Sure enough it was the "SLEEP" card. It was putting everyone to sleep including Tomoyo and Kero.

The sleep card was not an easy catch. The good news is she captured the card. The bad news is she destroyed her father's computer and his work in the process. Her kind father forgave her for the accident, but Sakura felt terrible. The next day Sakura begged her father to do anything. He said he would make her his assistant. Working together Fujitaka finished his presentation just before dawn. He even had time to make a special lunch for Sakura. Alls well that ends well.
