It's payday! Everyone gets an envelope holding their payment. Tomoro looks at his and smiles, but then Gekkomon grabs it to eat. Tomoro is able to get it back in one piece. He wants to get Asuka a present for his upcoming birthday.
Tomoro visits his brother. He tells Gekkomon to stay behind, but does Gekkomon listen...no. The small digimon causes trouble at the hospital. Tomoro is angry.
The gang goes shopping so Tomoro can find a present. He finds a red scarf that has a special meaning. Gekkomon, instead of waiting outside like he was told, grabs a blue scarf. He tries to pull the red one out of Tomoro's hand, but rips it. Now Tomoro is furious.
Elsewhere, a distraught man tosses his sapotama into the water. The man's emotions and actions give birth to Raremon!
While at Maki's, Kyo and the others see the emergency call that the Raremon appeared in the bay area near an abandoned gas terminal.
Gekkomon reunites with Tomoro at the abandoned gas terminal. When Tomoro says he wishes Gekkomon was never born, the lizard digimon goes dark from Tomoro's emotions!
Tomoro's parents were arrested by the Ministry of Civil Protection when he was 10.
Kyo was a former member of the elite Five Stars.
This is the first appearance of Kaito and Flaremon of the Five Stars.
