Naomi is the beautiful ex-FBI agent who was engaged to the handsome Raye Penbar. She accompanied Raye to Japan so that he could meet her parents. Unfortunately, that never happened. When Raye returned to their hotel room on the day of the bus incident, it was Naomi who believed the hijacker's death was NOT an accident. Come to find out...a couple years ago Naomi actually worked with L on a case.

After Raye's death, Naomi started her own investigation. Sadly, she didn't get far. Before she was able to meet with the police, Ms. Misora met Light. His first attempt to kill her didn't take, because she had given him a fake name. It didn't take long before the innocent looking teenager gained her trust and that led to Naomi's demise. When she gave Light her real name, the boy wrote in the notebook that she would disappear and commit suicide. Bye Bye pretty Naomi.
