Young Jeremy is admiring his 7 Digimon cards. Suddenly, a mysterious man wearing a yellow jacket
knocks into him causing all of the cards to spill on the ground. Upon picking up the cards, Jeremy
notices that now he has 8. Later that day he meets up with Kenta and Henry. Believing the card is worthless,
they give it to Henry and take off. Terriermon encourages Henry to scan the card. When he does, a flash of
light emits from his d-arc, and the card miraculously transforms into a blue card.
Later that day Henry asks his father for assistance in determining the nature of the card. Mr. Wong
places the card in a high-tech scanner. He seems to recognize some of the data that is displaying on the
monitor, but tells Henry it was only meaningless data. A few hours later you see Mr. Wong recalling past
events and feeling guilty that he didn't tell his son everything.
The next day Henry and Terriermon meet
up with Takato to discuss the blue card. As they are walking, Impmon leaps from a tree and confronts them.
At the same time, Mr. Wong realizes he forgot his cell phone and heads back to get it. Just as Impmon is
hassling them, Henry turns to see his father approaching. Mr. Wong is shocked. "This is impossible, you
are only a game," he says. Impmon attacks Mr. Wong with his bada boom fireballs until Terriermon steps in.
Impmon runs off in disgust. Mr. Wong wants to talk to his son, but Henry grabs Terriermon and he too runs
off.
The afternoon progresses, and now Rika has met up with Henry and Takato. Henry is feeling terrible,
but they continue their quest to find the origin of that blue card. Jeremy finally leads them to the
city near the electronics where he ran into the mysterious man in the yellow jacket. The group wait
in that area hoping that man will show up again. Guess who also shows up in the same area...none other
than Calumon.
Meanwhile, Hypnos is tracking two wild ones coming from
the Juggernaut core. Suddenly they bio-emerge! Pajiramon and Vajramon (both Deva Beast Digimon, Ultimate
level) appear and wreak havoc on the city. They begin eating all of the electronics and digital equipment.
Henry and Rika choose a Deva and get to work! Digi-modify! Rika uses crystal fire activate, and Henry uses
Vulcan's hammer activate. The attacks do nothing, because the deva's are too powerful. Pajiramon points her
weapon at Terriermon. It looks like the end, but NO...Calumon glows. Terriermon digi-volution to Gargomon.
Henry gives hyperspeed to Gargomon. Yikes! Still no effect on Pajiramon, and now she has Gargomon immobilized.
Henry desparately tries rock-armour and program-pause activate, but Pajiramon is determined to get Gargomon's
data. (Cringe...such a tense moment!) The arrow of death is facing Gargomon! Takato tells Henry to use the
blue card. At first, an enormous flash occurs but nothing happens until.....Calumon's head glows (this seems
to give him one nasty headache) and MATRIX DIGI-EVOLUTION! Gargomon to Rapidmon (warrior type, ultimate) whose
attacks are rapid fire, miracle missle, and tri-beam. When Rapidmon's tri-beam scatters the deva's data, it
appears that is the end of them, but somehow Vajramon reappears in another part of town.
That evening Mr. Wong enters Henry's room. He
thanks Terriermon for saving him, and begins to explain his past. It seems 20 years ago he was one of
a group of college students working on a voluntary computer project. It started out just for fun, but they
ended up creating the very first Digimon. It was an Avida (Think that's only in
Digimon? Do a search on that word. You'll be surprised what you find.) project part of the A.L. movement.
They experimented in creating artificial life forms on the computer. Mr. Wong continued explaining how they
programmed a survival instinct in them just like wild animals. In addition, they gave them individual
personalities and fighting abilities. Unfortunately, they never saw the final result as the project was
shut down. Their sponsors cut funding, and the research project was never completed. Although one good
thing did come out of it...the game. Even though they never received any credit, kids all over the world
got something cool to play with. After the explanation, Mr. Wong asked Henry about the blue card. It seems
he recognized some of the code as Shibumi's.
Meanwhile Rika and Renamon are walking home when they are
confronted by Vajramon. He wants to talk to Renamon. Rika is apprehensive, but Renamon explains that there
are questions she needs answered. What are those questions? You'll just have to stay tuned!!!!
