AnimeAdmirer's (Digimon: Tamers)

Reunion

Summary written by Dawn....Thank you!

Last time, the tamers had gotten back home from the digital world and now we go to Rika's house where her mom is calling her work saying she wont be able to do any photo shoots for a while. (eyerolls anyone?) But with all that's going on she's happy she can be with her daughter again. Rika notices how much her mom has changed before turning back to the news. Everyone is tuned into the T.V. at Henry's house where his mom can't get through on the phone to Henry's dad.

Meanwhile, Yamaki and his crew are working tirelessly to figure out the Hypnose bugs in a van. Outside the van, Mr. Wong finally gets through to his family where he asks to talk to Henry. He asks Henry if he could leave the digital stuff to himself and his group. Henry agrees and we then see Takato who is on the train still. Takato suddenly remembers he has to keep Guilmon hidden. After freaking out a passenger, Passenger: "Right, I'll just warn the conductor. And the police. AND the National Guard." He throws a coat over Guilmon's head, making a futile attempt to hide him. Then the train stops and the conductor makes an announcement. Conductor: "All Hachiouji passengers and transfers for the Yokohama line disembark at the next stop. And if there are any passengers on board with animals, we ask that you remove them immediately."

Takato thinks about Jeri and how she seemed to break on the inside when she lost Leomon while he gets off at the train station. Guilmon asks if he's okay and Takato says yes though his tone says otherwise. Takato; "We sure have had our share of trouble haven't we boy?" Guilmon: "And maybe part of someone else's share." ^^

At the airport, news reporters surround Ryo and his dad, asking him about his ordeal. His dad leaves, telling them Ryo needs his rest. On the car ride, he seems skeptical about Ryo having his digimon with him. Ryo merely replies that his digimon (Now as Monodramon) protected him in the digiworld during his absence in the real world. His dad still doesn't like the idea and Monodramon's messing with the car doesn't help as he starts poking around. He ends up turning on the radio that internet connections and some electronics have been disrupted.

Meanwhile Impmon returns to his old neighborhood where nothing seems to have changed. He gets into his tamers' house (Ai and Mako) and finds they left him a note.

We cut to Jeri's house where Calumon is playing tag with her stepbrother. Calumon: "I don't know what "it" is but I love it!" But the little boy trips and starts crying. His mother comes out and comforts him when Jeri appears. In a possessed/eerie way she walks up to her brother and pushes him down to the floor. Jeri: "All better now...all better now." After her stepmother asks her to stop, Jeri gives her a piercing stare followed by an eerie smile, scaring even Calumon. Calumon: "If that's what "it" is then I never wanna be "it" ever again."

Back at the train station Takato calls his mom but instead of explaining himself he listens as she lectures at him to come home. After saying he has to do this he hangs up, and we next see the Shinjuku West Gate. The army has mobilized with tanks and is going over a battle strategy. Rika and Renamon watch all this on TV, and Renamon says they can use weapons and the army will more likely get crushed then do anything productive. Rika says they have to do something but her mother stands in the doorway. Rumiko (Rika's mom): "Back when I got married, everyone told me I was too young. But I didn't listen, turns out my daughter is as stubborn as I was, and you should be allowed to make your own decisions." (I wish my parents said that and all I wanted was to dye my hair blue...lol) Rika's mom hands her a bag. Rika opens it to see she has a shirt like hers only the heart is whole, and her mother has a matching red shirt too. As they run off Rumiko asks her mom if what she did was right. Her mom (Rika's grandma if I'm confusing you guys) says Rika would have gone anyways but know she goes with her mother's love, but Rumiko still hopes love is enough to keep her safe. Back to the military, the infantry men prepare to face the giant red mass that has been expanding over the city.

In Yamaki's van, Mr. Wong has found something that had taken over Hypnose and it was not a digimon. Yamaki finds that not only digimon are able to come into their world, and Mr. Wong says it doesn't lead them any closer to finding out what the red mass is.

At Henry's house, Suzie is making poor attempts to get Lopmon and Terriermon to speak "properly" due to both rabbit digimon starting to fall asleep. Henry talks to his teacher about how the devas weren't evil, they just believed what they were doing was right. Sensei talks about how clouds are also good but when they come between the sun they create shadows. Henry wonders then how can you can tell what is right. Sensei then explains how people thought their world was the real world and the digimon and their world was just data. But through Henry's experience he has learned that both are very real. (He lost me at the cloud metaphors...^^*sweat drop*)

Outside on the streets, Takato notices how the town is empty. Guilmon finally can take off the coat. Takato hopes they can find a way to defeat the D-Reaper. In a small scene, Rika and Kyubimon take a flying leap over a roadblock. Rika: "That's not gonna stop anyone!" We go back to where military men are blocking the street to the red mass, and Takato wonders how they can sneak past them. He cancels out Guilmon digivolving because that might make them attack Growlmon.

At Henry's house, he talks to his mom about how his friends are out there fighting, but he promised his dad he wouldn't go. His mom tells him he isn't obligated to go and how he worries her. Henry protests, knowing he, Takato, and Rika are the only one's that know enough about the enemy and even stand a chance beating the D-Reaper. As they get into deeper conversation, Yamaki still can't figure out why the D-Reaper attacked Hypnose. He starts blaming himself when we get back to Henry's talk with his mom. Turns out she starts weakening in the conversation until she finally let's him go. Henry leaves though she starts crying.

The military begins their operation into the red mass and Jeri's stepmom can't seem to find Jeri. She asks her son who points down into a black laundry room. She turns on the light to see she isn't there. (Spooooooky...)

The infantryman holding a camera gets dragged back by his cord and Takato and Guilmon come to a tunnel entrance that connects to the waterway. Rika and Henry arrive filled with determination. The military follow the moving camera as the gang walk down the tunnel, Renamon discussing how they need a battle plan. She says if it can frighten the sovereign then the D-Reaper can't be taken lightly. Terriermon: "How can it be taken lightly? It's the size of a house!" Guilmon says Renamon is right and Terriermon begins teasing Guilmon about liking Renamon. Rika gives Takato a weird look as the situation doesn't seem to get any better. (You could cut the tension with a knife!)

The camera leads the military to dozens of bird type creatures with red cords coming out of them. The creature rise up as soon as the men arrive and by that time the tamers and their digimon have gotten out of the tunnel where they see explosions in the sky. They worry that a war has started and they'll have to deal with the D-Reaper AND the army.

What happens next? Find out next time on Digimon Tamers!
