INUYASHA EPISODES 91-95 SUMMARIES

Suspicious Faith Healer and the Black Kirara

Inuyasha and company are heading northeast in hopes of finding Naraku. Not far off villagers are told by a spiritualist to get rid of the two-tailed cat for it possesses demonic powers. The brain washed villagers throw rocks at the small cat, and it flees.

In the woods surrounding the village, a young girl calls out for "Kuroro." Nearby Shippo is tracking Kirara. The woods opened to a river where Shippo enjoyed splashing some water on his face. He turns to see the young girl petting Kirara as if she knows her. As the child is placing a bell-like collar on Kirara, Shippo is trying to explain that this cat is Sango's partner. Suddenly, villagers approach the river bank. They begin throwing rocks at Kirara and even suave Miroku is unable to stop them. Only their village chief was able to convince them not to resort to violence.

Inside a dojo, the village chief tells Inuyasha and the others what has been going on. The cat, Kuroro, use to live in the village and play with the children. One day a spiritualist entered the village telling them the two-tailed cat would bring misfortune. Inuyasha, Miroku, and the others realize something isn't right with that spiritualist.

Meanwhile, Shippo has taken the bell outside. He sees the young girl and explains the mistaken identity...then offers to help her find Kuroro. She introduces herself as Koume. Not far off, the spiritualist is reciting a Buddhist sutra that releases a cloud of demonic energy. Inuyasha and company spot it and head straight for the temple.

Back in the woods, Shippo and Koume search for Kuroro. Koume tells the young fox demon that Kuroro was going to have kittens. A few seconds later, the demonic cloud appears before them. It's form hits the ground and out races thousands of grey mice. Shippo uses one of his illusionary tricks so they can escape.

The next few scenes shows the villagers discovering rats are everywhere. It's no wonder....the spiritualist was actually a large rat demon. His plan was simple. Get rid of the cat so he could devour everything in the village.

Just as the rats are catching up to Shippo and Koume, Kuroro appears and saves them.

Outside the temple a demonic energy barrier glows, but it's no match for Inuyasha's Tetsusaiga. Once the barrier is broken, the temple crumbles and out comes the great Lord Tesso....one big fat rat! Inuyasha uses his "Kaze no Kizu", but the rat simply regenerates. Miroku tells Inuyasha that what he is seeing is an illusion formed from the rat's demonic aura. The demon sees Miroku going for his air void and vanishes.

Returning to Shippo.....Kuroro is leading them to a cave. Inside are three adorable kittens. Outside the cave an ominous cloud hovers. It's the demon Tesso uttering, "If I eat the human child, my powers will double!" Kuroro senses the demon and runs out to fight. The poor cat does her best until Tesso uses a powerful attack. One which results in a cave-in trapping Shippo, Koume, and the kittens. The air is diminishing, and Shippo works feverishly to break through. A badly injured Kuroro, meanwhile, finds Inuyasha and the others and leads them to the cave. Just as Shippo is able to claw through an opening and face Tesso, Inuyasha arrives. Inuyasha, with the help of Miroku, find Lord Tesso's true body, and this time the "Kaze no Kizu" rips the demon to pieces. Right after, Kuroro collapses from her injuries.

The next morning Inuyasha, and the others leave the thankful villagers. Shippo wonders if Koume will be alright. The next scene shows that the young girl is just fine. She leads a bandaged Kuroro to the three hungry kittens. Shippo, on the other hand, must endure the relentless teasing from Inuyasha. That is....until Kagome's irritated, "sit" stops the hanyou in his tracks. Poor Inuyasha hits the dirt once again.

Plot of the Walking Dead

Under a full evening moon, Kikyo has come across the body of a dead girl. The priestess sends her soul stealers over to revive her, but the girl is less than grateful. The girl is surprised to see that it is Kikyo who resurrected her. The priestess thinks, "She too was made by Urasue."

Meanwhile, castle after castle is attacked by an army of lifeless, clay dolls and their ruthless commander. The commander, Kawaramaru, is determined to conquer the world for the dead.

Not far off, Inuyasha and party are camping out for the evening. The dog demon suddenly picks up the scent of Urasue's herbs....the ones used to resurrect Kikyo. Inuyasha races off in the direction of the scent, while the others do their best to catch up.

The wounded girl revived by Kikyo is slowly making her way through the forest. Dozens of the clay soldiers appear out of no where and try to apprehend her. She tries to break free telling them she refuses to go back. Inuyasha arrives and uses his claws to shatter the clay men. Kagome, Miroku and Sango catch up and are surprised to find the dolls were made from human bones and burial soil. They are more surprised to see the injured girl was resurrected....just like Kikyo.

A new day has arrived, and Inuyasha continues to trace the scent. He tells Miroku that Kikyo had been there. Miroku wonders if Kikyo has something to do with the clay soldiers. Angered, Inuyasha races off to find the culprit. At the same time, the girl, who we now know is Enju, has awakened. She tells Kagome how she didn't want those soul stealers to revive her. Kagome hears "soul stealers" and asks Enju if she has seen Kikyo. Enju replies, "So that was Kikyo. I wondered where she'd gone after killing my mother."

In a conquered castle, Kawaramaru and his men are discussing their next move. The evil commander senses Inuyasha's presence and goes outside to face him. Inuyasha accuses him of controlling Urasue's clay soldiers. Kawaramaru admits he was Urasue's son and orders his soldiers to attack Inuyasha. The hanyou easily shatters the clay puppets, but their broken bodies emit noxious energy. A blurry-eyed Inuyasha uses his Kaze no Kizu and escapes.

Returning to Enju, we learn how she became involved with Urasue. It seems that Urasue had resurrected both her and Kawaramaru to be her servants. Kawaramaru was a dead warrior who had betrayed his master. And Enju was a skilled pottery worker before she died. Urasue asked her to make the clay bodies. Kikyo was resurrected to help find the shikon shards, but Kikyo proved to be Urasue's demise. Eventually, Enju could not stand to see her clay soldiers killing people. She wanted to rest in peace. At that point, Miroku joined the conversation saying how all life is precious. Their discussion is interrupted by the arrival of many clay soldiers. The spiritual powers of Miroku, Kagome, and Sango allow them to easily destroy the puppets. Enju doesn't mind their destruction, but sadly, she knows that Kawaramaru has thousands more. Suddenly, they hear the sound of Kawaramaru's marching clay army. Kagome tells Enju they are going to fight. "If we win," Kagome says, "promise me you'll keep on living."

After a brief commercial, we find all of our heroes fighting the lifeless soldiers. Miroku wonders if he should use his wind tunnel, but Inuyasha says their noxious energy may poison him from the inside out. Everyone uses any means they can to destroy the clay puppets. Enju tries to reason with Kawaramaru, but the resurrected man gets fed up and calls upon the heavens to awaken his hell ogre. A huge monster appears carrying Kawaramaru on his shoulder. Inuyasha is grabbed by the beast. The hanyou orders everyone to leave and uses his most powerful Kaze no Kizu. The ogre, Kawaramaru, and all the clay puppets are destroyed.

When all is over, Enju has returned to doing what she likes best. One of Kikyo's soul stealers arrives to give her a life preserving soul. She accepts it willingly, knowing she must keep her promise to Kagome and go on living.

Mystery of the Lecherous Monk

A group of villagers are saying their cheerful goodbyes to the suave Monk Miroku, but where are Inuyasha and the others??

Not far off the real Miroku hasn't left the sides of his traveling companions. Kagome is sleepy and wants to sleep inside. Happily, they spot a village not far off. When the weary travelers approach the village, they are attacked by angry men who seem to know Miroku. With no clue what's going on and to avoid further confrontation, Miroku suggests that they all run away. "What was that all about," they wonder suspiciously questioning Miroku.

Under an evening sky while Inuyasha and the others talk by campfire, the phony Miroku is surrounded by pretty girls inside a lavish dojo. He asks if they will give birth to his child, and they all chant, "we will!" The young women are treating him like a King. What?!?

The next morning, Inuyasha and company approach another village. This time Miroku is showered with attention from all of the pretty girls offering to give birth to his baby. Needless to say, Sango is not at all pleased and neither are the village men. When Miroku says they should run, Kagome and Sango refuse saying, "This is YOUR mess."

After the villagers tie up the confused Monk, Kagome asks just what was it that Miroku did? They tell how the monk had sold them phony amulets in order to ward off demons and charged them an exorbitant amount. He would also visit one's home, eat most of their food, and carry out fake exorcisms. Finally they explained how he had persuaded all of the young girls to fall in love with him. When Miroku claims he's never visited this village before, the disgruntled men accuse him of lying for it was just yesterday and earlier today. That is when Kagome realized that it couldn't have been Miroku at all for he was with them all this time. Well then....who could it be??? The villagers aren't buying the "fake" excuse, so Inuyasha asks them to show proof that Miroku was here. Each of them pulls out a large leaf. Miroku begins to giggle. "I've solved the mystery," he says.

Meanwhile, the phony Miroku has arrived at a small, secluded village claiming to have sensed evil. Imagine his apprehension when the villagers take him to a cave containing a shrine saying that inside is a raccoon spirit that has been attacking their farms and animals. Hearing that it is a raccoon, the phony Miroku enters the cave. Just as he approaches the shrine, the huge demon emerges, but it is a weasel not a raccoon. The phony Miroku tries to scare the demon by threatening with his wind tunnel, but that only makes the weasel more determined to eat the famous monk and become the greatest demon in the land. In their scuffle, the phony Miroku converts into none other than Hatchi the raccoon. Lucky for him, Miroku, Inuyasha and the others arrive just in time to save him. After a little scare with the real Miroku's wind tunnel, the weasel agrees to go back into the mountains and not harm anything again.

Once outside the cave Hatchi apologizes profusely saying he impersonated Miroku on impulse because he was hungry. The others grin saying the only difference in the way the two acted is Hatchi was more popular with the women. Miroku whispers to Hatchi, "teach me the secret to being popular with women." "The one who doesn't covet, wins" Hatchi shouts. Sango suspiciously questions their conversation. To avoid her questioning, Hatchi converts to Miroku once again. The two race around so Sango no longer knows which is which. They go running off with poor Sango chasing and calling names. Names we've come to know as synonymous with Miroku.....playboy, pervert, idiot!!!

The Sacred Jewel Maker (1)

It's a beautiful day. Inuyasha and company are having lunch. While the others enjoy the beautiful weather, Inuyasha complains about Naraku's disappearance. Suddenly, Kagome faintly senses a shikon shard, but the feeling isn't quite right. When they arrive in the vicinity of the shard, they discover a large demon chasing a priest. Kagome informs Inuyasha that the shard is in the demon's stomach. After Inuyasha slices the demon in two, everyone is shocked to see a fully formed shikon jewel fall into Inuyasha's hand. However, this jewel was so fragile that it quickly shattered. The priest announced how the jewel was most likely an imitation. He further explained how there are some demons attempting to create more jewels. (As he is speaking, an evil looking man is seen hiding behind a tree.)

The priest introduces himself as Izumo, chief priest of the Senzou shrine. Before entering the priesthood, he was a scholar taking a non-traditional approach to studies. He wandered the countryside discovering new things. His Main focus of study was related to the Shikon jewel. Izumo continued by saying, "Everything in this world is made of four spiritual elements." Then Miroku chirped in saying, "Untamed strength, harmony, mystery, and happiness. Put together, these four become the soul, the heart of the physical body." Everyone except Miroku is pretty confused. Kagome asks why the demon was chasing him. Izumo explained how he accidentally saw the one demon give the fake jewel to the other demon. The demon who gave away the jewel was called Orochidai. Orochidai told the demon that the jewel wasn't perfected yet, but soon.

Izumo takes Inuyasha and the others to where he saw the jewel exchanged, but there is no sign of Naraku, demons, or fake jewels. Sango, who is surveying the area on Kirara, spots a village up ahead. After a thorough search of the village, they find it completely deserted. Izumo heard that a shrine in the village hosts one of the "creator god's". There's a legend that says the spirit of Happiness and Mystery manifested inside of this god's heart. Miroku then adds that Mystery controls Chi and Happiness protects Ai. Izumo continues with, "And Untamed Strength governs Yuu just as Harmony causes Shin. "Yuu", "Shin", "Chi", "Ai" these are the four parts of the "four souls". (Anyone else as confused as I am??) With all that aside, Inuyasha says they should really investigate this village further.

While still checking out the village, Shippo asks Izumo more questions. So Izumo explains, "Yuu is the first part of 'Yuuki' (Courage). I-'s something akin to bravery. "Shin" is the character used in "Shitashi" (close friendship) and 'chi' has the same meaning as "chie" - Wisdom. I- means knowing about many things. And "ai" as in "aijou" (love and affection)." Another way of putting it is "Courage comes from untamed strength, and friendship from harmony. Mystery begets wisdom, and happiness controls compassion and love. When the four elements are gathered together unexpectedly, as in times of great chaos, a shikon no tama may be created."

Just then, Sango is seen chasing a frightened young boy. When he calms down, they ask what happened to everyone. The boy explained how demons came to the village and took everyone away. Since he was being punished in the hen house, the boy had eluded the evil kidnappers. "Why did the demons take my parents?" He asked, "Why?" Miroku, Sango, and Kagome console the boy and pledge to look for his family. However, it is almost sunset and the search would be difficult. Not even a minute later, Kagome senses a shard and up comes Orochidai and a herd of demons. Izumo and the boy are told to run away.

Orochidai demands the real shikon shards. Miroku challenges him with his air void and absorbs two of the demons. Unfortunately, the demons had imitation jewels filled with evil energy within them. This does not have a good effect on Miroku. Seems the imitation jewel could contaminate the human soul. (Well, so much for using the air void.) Sango, Kagome, Miroku and even Shippo try methods to rid them of the demons, but even the fake shikon jewel increases a demon's power. Just when things look really bad, Inuyasha returns. Unfortunately, right when Inuyasha is about to fight, another demon carries Izumo and the boy away. Inuyasha quickly finishes off the attacking demons with his "Kaze no Kizu". It's now time to find their missing new friends.

In a cave not too far away, a lizard-like demon, Gamajiro, is licking his lips as he watches over the captured villagers. Their souls have been removed, and they are sitting in jell-like pods. Orochidai enters with the boy and tells Gamajiro to take the child's soul as well. Something huge creeps up behind them. Orochidai calls him Gyuoh and tells him to go greet their visitors. The visitors are none other than Inuyasha and company, who have found their way into the cave. Imagine the surprise when they are confronted by a huge demon carrying a club filled with fake shikon jewels. This demon is strong. Even Inuyasha's Kaze no Kizu cannot stop him. With a powerful swing of his club everyone plummets into an abyss of crumbling ground. How will they get out of this mess? Find out in part II....

The Sacred Jewel Maker (2)

It's dawn when Shippo finally awakens. The young fox wonders what happened. Miroku and Sango explained how they were all buried in the dirt. They were able to dig themselves out, but were slightly injured. Unfortunately, it seems that the bull demon took Kagome away and Inuyasha went to search for them.

The forest is dense, and poor Inuyasha has lost the demon's scent. Suddenly, he is attacked by two snake-like demons. "If we kill you, Orochidayuu will give us more Shikon no Tama," they say. Even with their regeneration capabilities (thanks to the fake Shikon Jewels within them), Inuyasha finds it easy to defeat them.

Meanwhile, Kagome awakens to find herself in a secluded dojo. She wanders the area spotting Gamajiro and the imprisoned villagers. Imagine her relief when she runs into Izumo, who is also unharmed? He tells Kagome that the demons are forcing him to use his knowledge to make Shikon Jewels. Kagome says they should escape but doesn't want to leave the villagers. Knowing Gamajiro's weakness is fire, Kagome sets out to find some.

Not far off, Inuyasha is barraged by demons and more demons...all being told they will be given the real Shikon Jewel if they defeat the young hanyou. Some distance away, Miroku, Sango and Shippo are experiencing the same fate. The amount of demons are endless.

Late in the day, Kagome wanders into the demon mansion where Izumo was supposedly making the fake Shikon Jewel. His back is turned and his voice is uttering the following:

The Shikon Jewel was created by Midoriko, a priestess with great power. It was created in the midst of the battle between Midoriko and the demons. For Midoriko, it was to defeat the demons. For the demons, it was to defeat Midoriko.... They fought for the possession of each other's souls, and their souls became one as a result. Within the Shikon Jewel, the pure soul of Midoriko and the wicked souls of the demons commingled. The fake Shikon Jewel sealed together the souls of humans and demons, but that alone is bad. Ara-spirit, Nigi-spirit, Kushi-spirit, Saki-spirit, namely, Yuu (courage), Shin (heart), Chi (power), Ai (love), they have to correctly work together.

Kagome screams when she touches his back and a petrified being collapses limply. She is surprised to hear Izumo outside asking her what is wrong. He was gently holding a bird that suddenly flew away. He admits that night is approaching...the time he hates most. Then he tells how Izumo is his father's name. The name his mother gave him is "Gyuoh." Kagome is shocked to see that he is a hanyou, transforming into a bull demon at night. Seems Gyuoh takes his father's human form during the day and his mother's demon form at night. He believes that:

Ara-spirit of Yuu is Inuyasha's soul.
Kushi-spirit of Chi is Miroku's soul.
Saki-spirit of Ai is Sango's soul.
Nigi-spirit of Shin would be Shippo's soul.

Gyuoh wants to gather all their souls to make the Shikon jewel so he may live as a human. Kagome yells that she won't let that happen. Gyuoh smirks knowing the girl's fighting spirit will just strengthen the jewel's power. Just as Kagome tries to run, Miroku, Sango and Shippo arrive, but they are quickly captured in Gamajiro's (the toad) soul sealing bubbles. Kagome tries to flee on Kirara, but Gyuoh orders two crows, who transform into huge flying demons (thanks to fake Shikon Jewels), to attack. Kagome uses her arrows to destroy one of the demons....its destruction emits a bright light.

Inuyasha has been fighting Orochidayuu when he sees Kagome's signal. He reaches her in time to help. The two work together to destroy a now serpent-like Orochidayuu. Afterwards, Inuyasha turns to the demons and asks who's next. Gyuoh orders them to fight, but they are hesitant and not willing to listen to a hanyou. After the most defiant demon is sealed, all of the other demons attack. Inuyasha quickly destroys them and is left to fight Gyuoh. Kagome screams, "Who's soul is in you now. If you kill us, you will tarnish the Shikon Jewel."

Gyuoh becomes irritated and lashes out at Kagome. Luckily Inuyasha comes to her rescue. Gyuoh is determined to become human by any means. He swallows all of the fake Shikon Jewels that reside in his club. His power increases tremendously allowing him to gain the upper hand...especially when Inuyasha loses his sword. The angry bull demon clutches Inuyasha's head prepared to destroy him.....when..... The light of dawn appears beyond the horizon. Gyuoh begs for more time, but it's not gonna happen. He transforms back to a partial human surprising Inuyasha. Now the fake Shikon jewels he swallowed has ravaged his human body.

"Kagome, will I be dying as a human?" Gyuoh asks before breathing his last breaths.

Eventually, everything returns to normal for the villagers. They thank Inuyasha and the others and bid them goodbye. Along their path, Kagome stretches her hand invitingly to a couple of birds perched on a tree branch. However, they fly off frightened proving that it isn't always ones appearance that attracts these gentle creatures.
