INUYASHA EPISODES 36-40 BRIEF SUMMARIES

Kagome is Kidnapped by Koga the Wolf Demon

Coming Soon

The Guy that Fell in Love with Kagome

NOTE: Kouga is the spelling in the original Japanese version, however, it is spelled Koga in the English dub version.

In our last episode Kagome (carrying Shippo) was kidnapped by the wolf demon, Koga....Particularly because of her ability to see the Shikon Shards.

When unseen, Shippo shape shifts to Koga in an attempt to escape. Unfortunately, his tail gives him away, but it was just enough of a diversion for them to run for it. Their escape comes to an end when they reach a cliff. Kagome makes sure Shippo can get away. Koga sees her unselfish act and declares..."Kagome will be my woman!" Kagome is shocked! She gives Koga a slap and tells him it's InuYasha she likes. Koga can't believe she likes that "DOG FACE", and says he's going to kill InuYasha anyway.

Meanwhile, per Miroku's suggestion, InuYasha allows himself to be taken by the Gokurakuchou Kin (those ugly big headed things...hee, hee) in an effort to get to Kagome. Shippo sees InuYasha being carried away and explains how the two tribes are bitter enemies.

Back to Kagome, the two tribes begin to battle. Koga grabs Kagome to look for the shards within their enemy. She spots it glowing inside a mountain. Suddenly a huge Gokurakuchou bursts through. Koga leaves Kagome with the rest of the wolf tribe and goes off to fight the large youkai himself. Kagome wins the hearts of the wolf tribe when she saves the life of one of their own with an arrow. Just as she was about to check on the tribesman, a Gokurakuchou flies down to attack. InuYasha arrives just in time and slaughters it. Kagome runs and embraces him. Koga shouts from the mountain for InuYasha to stay away..."for the woman who can see the Shikon Shards suits him, and he is in love with her."

InuYasha wants to fight, but Koga is unwilling until he can defeat the powerful Gokurakuchou and claim its shard. Unfortunately, the huge evil youkai sinks its teeth into Koga's right arm. Now it has an additional shard and becomes even more powerful. Ha! Not too powerful for the tetsusaiga...InuYasha finishes it off.

Once on the ground InuYasha is ready to fight his wolf demon rival. He's surprised to find a nurturing Kagome helping the injured Koga. Koga says he will still try to fight, but when InuYasha rushes up to begin, Kagome yells...SIT! At this point all of the wolf demons make a run for it.

A short while later InuYasha is pouting when Kagome approaches him. InuYasha can't believe she let them get away, but Kagome retracts, "they're not bad". Miroku snickers that it is hard to hate someone who is in love with you. When InuYasha doubts that Kagome has NO feelings for Koga, the two get in a big shouting match. InuYasha screams he doesn't want to see her face! With that, Kagome borrows Kirara and heads to the well for home.

Two Hearts, One Mind

Kagome has returned to present day, and boy is she cranky. After nearly biting everyone's head off at breakfast, she arrives at school to be surrounded by her girlfriends. Seems a freshman girl is expressing more than just a little interest in Hojo. When Kagome doesn't seem worried, her friends are convinced she has a boyfriend.

Back in the Feudal Era...Shippo laments while InuYasha pouts. Lady Kaede calls the hanyou a "BAKA" for he needs Kagome to find the Shikon shards. At the same time, the lecherous Miroku is reading lady's fortunes and asking them to bare his children. Sango looks on in disbelief. The Monk did, however, instruct everyone to stay away from the well....InuYasha would be less likely to swallow his pride and retrieve Kagome if others were to see him. Sure enough, when no one is looking, InuYasha slips through the well determined to get Kagome.

At a fast food restaurant, Kagome's friends are practically interrogating her. She admits an interest in someone but says he is selfish, always pissed off, and very very jealous....what's more...he hasn't given up on his old girlfriend. When her friends insist she should break up with him, Kagome explains how he has a good side as well. The girls claim Kagome is in love.

Meanwhile, InuYasha has entered Kagome's empty bedroom. Sota walks in and startles him (really funny scene). Sota asks if they had a fight, because Kagome was so angry. Feeling Kagome may still be mad at him, InuYasha asks Sota to "make a promise between guys" and not tell Kagome he was there.

That evening, Kagome begins to question her anger. She realizes that even though InuYasha came to save her, she was on Koga's side....maybe she was wrong. At school the following day, Hojo is delighted to see Kagome and asks her to a movie. Kagome is hesitant, but her friends insist that she is going. They believe Hojo is the one for her. Later that same day, Kagome stares into the well and wonders if the stubborn hanyou is still mad.

In the Warring States Period even Shippo is wondering why Kagome took Koga's side. Lady Kaede gives the brooding InuYasha some advice based on a story. Bottom line is....the fastest way to solve problems is to talk them out.

It's present day and Kagome is having trouble studying....so she sets her alarm clock and falls asleep. While she sleeps, InuYasha sneaks in. He hears Kagome whisper his name in her sleep and wonders if she is dreaming of him. Ack!...she says "SIT" sending him slamming to the floor. Suddenly, the alarm clock rings, and InuYasha is panicking. He grabs the clock and quickly exits through the window. When Kagome awakens, she senses InuYasha had been there.

At school that morning, Kagome approaches Hojo and explains she cannot go to the movie, but it would be alright with her if he took the Freshman girl. Hojo interprets that as Kagome may be feeling jealous. He insists that she is the only one for him and departs. Kagome admires his confidence.

Later that day, Kagome caves in and returns through the well. She and InuYasha sit quietly next to each other when suddenly the boy whispers..."I'm sorry." Kagome is shocked, but then InuYasha hands over her broken alarm clock. That was what the apology was for??? Before she is able to get angry, the others arrive telling how InuYasha has been miserable the past few days. The hanyou angrily chases them denying his behavior. Lady Kaede turns to Kagome as this is going on and says, "Forgive him, he is embarrassed." Kagome smiles....happy to be back.
