INUYASHA THE FINAL ACT

Heart of Naraku

Images appear after the summary.

Naraku sits solemnly while Kanna stands nearby admiring the midnight moon. "I won't let you get away, Kagura," he mutters, holding a shining pink object beating like a human heart.

Elsewhere, Kagura stands outside the cell of Goryoumaru wondering why he was locked up. Hakudoshi walks in asking her to join them. It appears that the three of them are conspiring against Naraku.

The scene switches to the village where Shippo has transformed into an exact duplicate of Miroku. The sly Monk was hoping to enjoy some freedom, but Sango caught the two of them and knocked Miroku out cold (^_^).

In the human world, poor Kagome has been staying at school until late hoping to make up her studies. After classes, she struggles to concentrate on her work (and test), but Inuyasha shows up and opens the door to her classroom. All her concentration is shattered, and she doesn't get a single answer right! Inuyasha carries her home on his back, where the two immediately leave for the Feudal Era.

The scene switches again, to Sesshomaru, Jaken, and Rin. The dog demon asks if there is any change in the crystal. "The spiritual energy isn't clearing," Jaken replies, "This means that the anti-spirit wall Naraku created to hide his heart isn't around here." Onward they travel.

Back at the well, Inuyasha and Kagome have returned from the human world. As they are on their way to the village, Hakudoshi and his poisonous bees attack. One of the bees gets away with the shikon shard. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo run up, but there's nothing they can do but go after Hakudoshi and try to retrieve the shard he has taken.

Not far off, a village is attacked by a demon-possessed dog. Kohaku arrives to help and decapitates the beast. Unfortunately, the head is still able to attack and bites Kohaku's arm just before he destroys the creature. A friendly villager and his young son, Taichi, help Kohaku by bandaging his arm. Suddenly, Taichi attacks...he is possessed by the true form of the same demon. Kohaku is able to save the boy, but it is Kagura that ultimately destroys the demon.

In the next scenes, we see Kagura attempting to take Kohaku's shard and Moryomaru trying to take Koga's shards. Luckily, Moryomaru's attempt is thwarted by Kikyo's spiritual arrow. Kohaku, on the other hand, has convinced Kagura of his desire to eliminate Naraku so he can face his father in the afterlife. Kagura lets him live and tells him to run away, but as she is doing so, Hakudoshi appears. He is angered at her betrayal. "Kohaku, figure out how to land on your own," she says giving him one of her feathers of flight. Moments later, Inuyasha arrives to help, while Sango goes off to find her brother.

Shortly after engaging in battle with Hakudoshi, Goryoumaru joins the fray. Hakudoshi give him a shard to repair the damage done by Kikyo's spiritual arrow. (Recall that Goryoumaru and Moryomaru are one entity.) Once transformed, Moryomaru is told to go after the other shard. Hakudoshi then grabs Kagura. As they are floating away, Kagura tells Inuyasha what is transpiring. "Listen, Inuyasha. The infant with Naraku's heart is inside Moryomaru right now. Hakudoshi and the Infant intend to strengthen Moryomaru and replace Naraku." Seems to protect his heart, Naraku gave the infant an anti-spiritual barrier. The anti-spiritual barrier hid its spiritual energy. And he made strong armor, thinking of the infant. That was Moryomaru, who contained the dead Goryoumaru.

Naraku is watching all this especially when Hakudoshi says, "I am the real thing. No one can kill me...not even Naraku." That's when he loses all protection even the poisonous bees. This is their chance! Hakudoshi is drawn into Miroku's wind tunnel. It should be a victory, but the group can't help but feel that they were used by Naraku to get rid of Hakudoshi. Kagome asks Kagura what she will do now and asks her to join them. However, Kagura has other plans and flies off.

Meanwhile, Goryoumaru has caught up with Kohaku and is ready to kill him by removing the jewel shard from his neck. Sango's boomerang puts a stop to that. "Stay away, sister," Kohaku yells. Sango is shocked to discover that Kohaku has regained his memories. Inuyasha arrives to help and uses his Diamond spear smash! Moryomaru runs off once again. This allows Sango and Kohaku to have a bittersweet reunion.

A distance away, a wounded Kikyo rests by a tree. Two priests are able to see her. They try to use talismans to no avail and run off, but the fact that they noticed her means her barrier is not working.

What is Naraku's plan? Will Kikyo live long enough to see his demise? Don't miss the next exciting episode!
