INUYASHA THE FINAL ACTPursuing NarakuWhile Rin, Kohaku and Jaken set up a campfire, Sesshomaru visits Totosai. Kohaku begins to sense that his shikon shard is being defiled. Just as he is telling Rin and Jaken to run, Naraku appears behind him. He has come to get the shard...for with it, the shikon jewel will be complete. When Naraku goes to grab it, the purification placed on it by Kikyo won't let him! With just enough time to flee, the three jump on their two-headed flying creature and escape. They don't get far before a large swirling cloud of miasma (Naraku) gives chase. Naraku tries to cut off Kohaku's head with his branch-like tentacles, but the children are able to evade. Not too far off, Inuyasha sees the cloud. Kagome senses Kohaku and knows he's in trouble, but they are wondering where Sesshomaru is? When they try to catch up to the boy, they are delayed by Byakuya of the Dreams. He tries to hold the group off with miasma laden greenery, but thanks to Miroku's wind tunnel, Byakuya does not succeed. He is forced to disappear (like he always does). Meanwhile the miasma cloud has caught up to Kohaku, Rin and Jaken. Naraku tries to manipulate Kohaku into cutting off his own head! Luckily, Sango arrives just in time. Naraku then tries to take control of the young boy to harm his sister, but Kohaku is fighting it. An angry Sango tosses the Hiraikotsu at the evil man. Amazingly, it tears him apart with it's demonic poison. Inuyasha had arrived and he used his adamant barrage, tearing Naraku apart even more. Then Kagome uses her purified arrows and Miroku again uses the Wind Tunnel. A totally mutilated Naraku, unfortunately, is able to escape. A short time later, Naraku (in pieces) meets with Byakuya. He gives him a remnant of the mirror demon from the event that took Kanna's life. He tells Byakuya to give it to Sesshomaru saying that the dog demon is now his pawn. (Hmmmm, what does he mean by that?) While the girls talk to Kohaku and work to purify the shard, Miroku sits alone by a river. He gazes at the scar on his arm realizing that it has spread even more. "Just hold on a bit longer," he thinks staring at the scenery around him.
