INUYASHA THE FINAL ACT

Unreachable Feelings

Naraku glares in disgust at all those who've assembled to take him down. Miroku, Sango, Sesshomaru, and Inuyasha each use their special attacks on Naraku. While they are doing so, Kagome notices a faint light in the Shikon jewel. Naraku, however, pushes the light out with his darkness and transforms into a wooden skeleton-type demon. "He's finally fed his soul to the jewel," Inuyasha says just before Naraku shoots miasma orbs at all of them. Noticing that Naraku's broken flesh is causing even stronger miasma, Sesshomaru orders Jaken to leave with Rin and Kohaku. Before leaving, Rin returns Sango's protective mask, and Kohaku gives his to Miroku.

Once outside Kohaku sees that Naraku's form may be falling towards Lady Kaede's village. Masses of miasma are falling to the ground destroying everything they touch.

"Once you kill me, my miasma loaded corpse will descend on the village," Naraku gloats. Sesshomaru uses Bakusaiga causing Naraku to fall apart even more, but the village is in grave danger. Kagome asks the floating Shippo to take them outside. Once again Inuyasha uses the Meido Zangetsuha, and this time Kagome sees the jewel. "Believe in yourself," she says releasing her arrow.

Success! It strikes right through the jewel causing the miasma and everything around to be purified. The huge dark form that was once Naraku is now white and coming towards Inuyasha and Kagome. It disintegrates over the bone eaters well. With the arrow piercing the Shikon jewel , the disfigured Naraku floats above the well. "In that moment, I made a wish upon the Shikon Jewel," he says, "The moment Byakuya of the Dreams cut through you. That wish shall be granted when I die." Moments later Naraku disappears. Miroku quickly looks at his hand to find the curse has been lifted. Just as everyone is realizing Naraku is gone of this world a large Meido portal opens and sucks Kagome inside. Lady Kaede notices the well has also disappeared.

In the real world, Kagome's friends arrive hoping she can come to the high school entrance ceremony. Suddenly a large crash sounds from the shrine. Sota calls for his mother and grandfather when he notices that the well has disappeared.

In the Feudal Era, Inuyasha asks the tetsusaiga to take him to Kagome by using the Meido Zangetsuha and jumping inside.

Returning to Kagome, she is having illusions of being in the real world attending high school, but something doesn't seem right. She has vague memories when watching the archery club. Even after a date with Hojo, she feels there was someone else she liked. It's when she returns home and touches the sacred tree that a vision of Inuyasha appears to her. Memories begin to flood back, and she begins to see what's truly going on. She can see her mother, Sota and Grandfather calling for her from the area where the well once was. The illusions soon fade and Kagome finds herself in darkness. The arrow pierced jewel tells her, "The well has been sealed. There is nowhere for you to go."

Elsewhere inside the path to the Underworld, Inuyasha can hear Kagome's family calling for her. He promises them he'll find her and bring her back.

Meanwhile the jewel is asking Kagome, "Do you wish to return to that world? Then make your wish. Wish upon the Shikon jewel to return to that world or you will spend the rest of eternity alone in this darkness."

Not to far off, Inuyasha is surrounded by demons telling him that Kagome will make a wish on the Shikon jewel to exit this darkness and return to a peaceful world. They inform him how they are all inside the Shikon jewel. The battle within the jewel will continue until the next world when it falls into the hands of another who will use it for dark purposes. It's a never ending cycle. Fate cannot be denied! Slicing though the demons, Inuyasha frantically calls out, "Kagome don't give in. Hold on till I get there! Don't make any wishes....Kagome!!!!
