INUYASHA THE FINAL ACT

Meido Zangetsuha

Totosai appears before Sesshomaru. He notices the Tokijin is gone and says that Tenseiga was calling him. "Tenseiga has reacted to the change in your heart," he tells Sesshomaru. The time has come to reforge the Tenseiga into a weapon.

At the village, Miroku is comforting Sango, while in the human world Kagome and her friends are putting in their applications at the school they hope to attend. Unfortunately, they must pass some gruesome exams, and Kagome is way behind. That evening she falls asleep while studying and dreams that all of the equations seem simple. She awakes to find Inuyasha sitting on her window ledge. "Oh no. I can't remember anything!" she cries.

Giving up on her exam, Kagome accompanies Inuyasha through the well. The group are walking in the forest hoping to track Naraku when Shippo is smacked in the head with a leaf and given a ranking...77? Expecting a demon, they run towards the perpetrator only to come to a clearing and a large Inn. Lovely ladies invite them to stay the night and, of course, Miroku is more than happy to. He enjoys the attention until slips of paper trickle down. The girls change to their true fox demon selves happy with their new ranking. Turns out that the group ventured into a demon promotion exam and Shippo's fellow fox demons are competing. Seems the Inn is their exam spot, and they will get points for tricking Inuyasha and his group. After a night of pranking, dawn has arrived indicating the test is over. As luck would have it, Shippo leaves with the legendary 24th rank.

Later that day, Kagome and Inuyasha search for Shippo. They wonder if he's ashamed to face them after what transpired the night before. Inuyasha senses something in the forest and uses his "wind scar" to fish them out. The attack narrowly misses Shippo. Still unseen by Inuyasha, Shippo is approached by a pretty demon girl calling herself Mujina. To his surprise Mujina's sword can absorb Tetsusaiga's demonic energy. Hearing that the pretty girl has lost her father, Shippo resolves to help her insisting that he is fighting for justice. When the Tetsusaiga's energy is fully absorbed by Mujina's blade, she attacks the half demon with a "wind scar" of her own. Shippo fears Inuyasha is dead and feels betrayed. Inuyasha, however, is very much alive and sees through Mujina's disguise! With one swift punch, Mujina transforms back into a fat old geezer...her true form. Once sending the old fart flying, Inuyasha makes sure the Tetsusaiga's demonic energy is returned. Afterwards, Shippo is now very ashamed and apologizes.

A distance away, Totosai instructs Sesshomaru to draw his sword. An evil Ogre appears before them. Sesshomaru swiftly slices through it. At first it appears as if nothing happened, but suddenly the demon is destroyed and sent to the Underworld. Seems Tenseiga is a sword that can connect both worlds. That is why he was able to see creatures from the other World and cut them down returning the dead to this World. The technique of sending his enemies to the Underworld is called Meido Zangetsuha.

"Totosai, I now hold Tenseiga for battle," Sesshomaru says vowing that Kagura had not died for nothing. A strong wind picks up as Sesshomaru, Rin, and Jaken continue their quest to find Naraku.
