Meanwhile, the Rubberobo's are watching from a cliff overhead. They've devised a plan to go after Ikki's meda-watch with the help of Whitesword.

The battle between Arcbeetle and Metabee is intense. Space Medafighter X has instructed Arcbeetle to exert full power. Ikki commands Metabee to go for the throw, get some distance, then blast with his laser canon. Metabee's attacks are direct hits, but they don't seem to damage Arcbeetle. SMX (my hands are getting tired of typing his full name) tells Ikki that Metabee is missing the full robattle spirit. Suddenly, Arcbeetle fires his tri-canon giving Metabee 80% damage. Metabee has almost given up when Ikki gives him a slug to snap him out of his self-pity. It's not over for Metabee, but SMX instructs Arcbeetle to carry out his energy-blast finish called the "prominence." What's this?!? Metabee dodged the attack, comes from behind and breaks Arcbeetle's horn with one punch!

Ikki and Metabee's spirit are now acting as one. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Whitesword attempts to attack Ikki. SMX jumps in between and takes the blow knocking him unconscience. The referee is outraged. Seaslug desides to robattle Ikki himself under his real name, "Seamore Slugbottoms." Metabee is so angry about the attempt on his medafighter's life that he again glows with the "MEDAFORCE" and destroys Whitesword with one hit.

Ikki approaches the injured SMX. Unbelievable...his mask has cracked to reveal....."The Phantom Renegade." The Phantom explains he was stealing rare medals to protect them from evil. He was going to steal Metabee's also, but when he saw the friendship between them, he felt it was a strength that could face any evil.

A helicopter appears in the sky. The Rubberobo's recognize it as their leader's. Shrimplips tells everyone to run, because their leader is releasing "Megaemporer." This weapon-type bot is programmed to destroy anything in it's path. The bot is locking-on various targets and begins his path of destruction. SMX tells everyone to leave and let him handle it. Koji's butler brings the car around for everyone to evacuate. Ikki stays behind telling the Phantom that if he went with the others they would be in danger.

Megaemporer is powerful, and unfortunately, Metabee has nothing left. Hey wait, Medabee's original parts are back! Koji has returned with Sumilidon ready to help. Sumilidon is fast but no match for the Megaemporer. It's Arcbeetles turn. Arcbeetle sustains damage but is able to restrain the evil bot so that the Phanton can jump on his back. In the grueling struggle, the Phantom is able to remove Megaemporer's medal immobilizing it. Just when you think nothing worse could happen, the ground crumbles and Arcbeetle, the Phantom, and the Megaemporer are plunged into the watery depths below.

Think that was the worst?! Think again! Ikki and Koji are surrounded by Rubberobos!! Will Metabee lose his rare medal, and what's up with the standings?? Don't miss the next episode!!!
