Anyone who didn't hear this already had to have been hibernating. ICv2 officially announced the license of Digimon Savers to Disney's ABC Cable Network for airing on Toon Disney. The name will be changed to Digimon: Data Squad and an expected air date will be sometime in the Fall of this year.

Based on the slow response on the latest poll, I'm getting the feeling that many visitors aren't familiar with the anime choices. Trust me....they're all good so keep on voting! One last thing....don't miss Spiderman 1 on Cartoon Network tomorrow evening!!

Oh Yeah! I've been waiting for these announcements. ToonZone officially reported that VIZ has acquired the distribution rights to Zoids Genesis, Mega Man Star Force, and Honey & Clover. All excellent titles. There is no word yet whether any of the series will air on T.V., but we can hope!

Yawn....I've been bored lately and that can only mean one thing. I need a new section to get me motivated. Of course, all sections will be updated here and there, but something new is needed. Thanks to some great sales, I've got quite a collection. To make things easier, the new section will be of a smaller series. So please vote and let me know in the latest poll what you would like to see added.

Some people think that Friday the 13th is unlucky. I must disagree. Friday the 13th is "LUCKY"....it's the rest of the year that's unlucky. At least for me anyway. Ha, ha. Let's get to announcements.... Another main character of the upcoming movie, "Speed Racer," has been determined. Christina Ricci (Addams Family, Sleepy Hollow) will play the role of Trixie, Speed's inquisitive and energetic girlfriend. The link to her interview is HERE. Wow, there are some great actors in this movie!

If you're a One Piece fan, then learning that Funimation has now acquired the rights to the series must make you ecstatic! That's all I really have to say about that. There's been a new addition to the site. It's called "New From Japan," and you can see the link in the upper left. That link is going to contain information on new anime that premieres in Japan. Nothing too elaborate...just a brief summary and images so one can get an idea what the show is about. So far just one series is there, but more will be added gradually. Of course, requests are always welcome.

Fans of Naruto (Is there anyone who isn't???) will want to stay close to their T.V. sets this Saturday, April 7th. Cartoon Network is holding a Naruto marathon beginning at 8:00pm Eastern. The first four episodes will conclude Naruto's battle with Gaara and the heartbreaking, "Third Hokage, Forever.." (Wonder if we'll get an ending without a glitch this time...) Then at 10:00pm, there will be two brand new episodes. See schedule below for titles.

In other news, Anime News Network reports that John Goodman (Roseanne, etc.) and Susan Sarandon (Academy award winning actress) are lined up for the parts of Speed Racer's parents in the upcoming movie. Who do you think would make a good trixie?
