The news regarding the end of the Bleach anime run appears to be true at this time. Some rumors said that Bleach will end it's run on TV Tokyo's 6:00pm Tuesday timeslot only to air on TV Osaka. This is UNCONFIRMED! Looks like we need to wait a little while longer to be sure if ... the show will go on!

New acquisitions put Sentai Filmworks in the limelight again. They are going to release the bodyguard-like series, Kure-nai, digitally and on subtitled DVD sometime later this year. Keep 'em coming, Sentai, just don't go belly-up trying to do so.

It seemed like the wait would never end, but Monsuno is finally here! Next Thursday, February 23rd at 8:00pm, marks a double premiere for this action, adventure series. Everyone can look forward to two side-by-side episodes entitled "Clash" and "Courage" (Check out the Monsuno section for a brief description of the episodes). It’s going to be EPIC! (and...no...I didn't get paid to say that...)

Licensing announcements: Wow! Sentai Filmworks are my heros! Since my last update they've licensed "Fate/Stay night: Unlimited Blade Works" (dub? unknown?), "Gintama-The Movie" (with a dub), "The Book of Bantorra" (with a dub), and finally the movie "Planzet" (dub? unknown?).

Just before Bakugan Battle Brawlers came to a close, it was announced that a new anime series involving the "Bakugan" toys has been green lit. Bakutech is an anime series derived from the manga of the same name. As you can see by the image, the character designs are quite different from Bakugan Battle Brawlers. No word if this series will make it to North America.

Licensing announcements since my last post are; NIS America announced their acquision of "Occult Academy" and prior to that "Daily Lives of High School Boys" a.k.a. Danshi Kokosei no Nichijo, Brave 10, and all four seasons of Natsume Yujin-Cho. Wow! NIS is known for their DVD releases that include some very atractive extras, however, the releases are not normally dubbed.

In addition, Funimation confirmed a DVD release of their recently streamed series, Haganai (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai). They, also, license rescued ADV's former series, Pretear. Finally, Sentai continues their hot and heavy licensing with the acquisition of the 52 episode, 2010 anime series, Zettai Karen Children.
