Last week was Otakon and this week is San Diego Comic Con. With conventions comes official licensing announcements. Lets run down some of them:

AD Vision acquired....King of Bandit Jing OVA's, Moonlight Mile, and Venus Vs. Virus;
Bandai Ent. acquired...Ayakashi Ayashi, Code Geass, My Otome Zwei, and Toward the Terra;
Funimation acquired....Ouran High School Host Club, Sasami ~ Magical Girl Club, and Baldr Force Resolution;
VIZ has finally announced their distribution of Nana TV series and Honey and Clover.

Tomorrow is considered one of the luckiest days of the century based on its numeric equivalent of 7/7/07. I'm not so sure about that. Friday the 13th is always a lucky day for me...ha...ha...no joke. Anyway...last weekend seemed lucky for those who are fans of the many titles that were licensed at Anime Expo. (The latest poll is based on the new acquisitions.) For an outstanding report of all the excitement that took place at AX, check out Anime On DVD.

On a side note, I start a new full-time job on Monday, and I'm very excited about it. Of course, that will take priority. However, this site is very important to me, and it will continue to be updated regularly.

Anime News Network reports that sometime this fall (2007), the comedic, football anime, Eyeshield 21, will commence streaming on Toonami Jetstream. Currently, you can catch episodes of "Prince of Tennis", "Hikaru no Go", "Mar", "Pokemon", "Zatch Bell", and "Samurai Jack."

And now a little "Speed Racer...The Movie" news. Matthew Fox, one of the stars of the weekly adventure/drama "Lost," has been cast as Racer X. You can view more information about the movie HERE.
