Friday kicks off the beginning of one of the largest North American Anime Conventions, Anime Expo 2012.  Some of the guests of honor include (but not limited to) Steve Blum, Monica Rial, Joel McDonald and Ian Sinclair. In addition to special guests, Industry panels include the likes of VIZ Media, Right Stuf, Inc. and Nozomi Entertainment, FUNimation and more. That means new acquisitions! What do you think will be licensed??!!

I've found some great bargains this week on anime for young fans. If you've got an Ollie's Outlet store close by, check out their selection of DVD's. They carried the Medabots Complete Season I (26 episodes) for a mere $2.99. After you leave there, head to your local Big Lot's where I was able to get Bakugan Volumes 4 and 6 for $3.00 each. I, also, picked up Ben 10 Alien Force for $3.00. . Those were some excellent deals.

Those of you who love the Beyblade and Bakugan characters can look forward to the new series picked up by Cartoon Network entitled Scan2Go. The director is Mitsuo Hashimoto, who is known for his work on Beyblade and Bakugan ... to name just a few. This series involves intergalactic racing competitions. Look for it to air this Fall. Speaking of series... did you catch Deadman Wonderland on CN's Toonami last night? Wow... that show is graphic!
