Emile Hirsch (The Lords of Dogtown, Alpha Dog, Into the Wild)! Yep, Toonzone reported that the lead part of Speed Racer will be played by Emile. Anyone wanting to know what he may look like can view images on his site... here. Oh Yeah! He's going to make a fine Speed Racer. The important question is....who's going to play Chim Chim????

According to Anime News Service, the long running manga, Fruits Basket, will end with volume 23, which is on sale in Japan...today. Natsuki Takaya's popular manga started way back in 1999. I know that this is sad news for many fans.

One of the new anime coming out in April that is also a part of the poll is "Terra e..." a.k.a. "Toward the Terra." The official Japanese site has added an additional (short) intro. You can see it by clicking here.(Credit: Animenation) Space, mecha, nice character designs...yep, looks good to me.

Since one of the anime on this site happens to be "Speed Racer" (not the earliest version), guess I should post what everyone else has. (A lot of other news sites....so I'll just credit "EVERYONE"....think that should be good (^_~).) The live action "Speed Racer" movie is supposed to roar into theatres on May 9, 2008, a few weeks earlier than planned. Hmmmm, that's still over a year away..... Awe, I'm getting impatient....

On a more current note, Spring sparks a new round of anime in Japan. There are many that look very promising...especially "Romeo and Juliet." The new poll reflects some of the new series. I'm interested to see what others are looking forward to...so please vote.

Anime News Service reported that Madonna may have cosplayed the Death Note character, Mello, in her music video "Jump." Take a look at the video shot in Tokyo here. Wow....I loved it! What do you think?

Don't forget to catch the first episode of Blood+ debuting on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim at 12:30am Eastern....guess you could call that very very early Sunday morning. Oh, and to all those Daylight Savings people, don't forget to set your clocks ahead an hour right after watching it.
