Had to throw that reminder out to everyone, but I'm sure there are very few anime fans who don't already know the movie's premiere date. Of course, there have already been complaints from Dragonball fans.....such as....It doesn't follow the storyline....bla...bla...bla. Just give it a chance. I'm looking forward to it. It's a good thing Funimation (and others) continues to license anime, because after this week I have just about every anime series released on DVD (good thing I still have a job). As you are probably aware, some Best Buys are decreasing the amount of shelf space for anime and will only be carrying the top series. That decrease in shelf space means they must get rid of their inventory...thus a great sale! Select Best Buys are offering their anime for 50% off! That makes for great prices. Check out the anime thread on DVD Talk Forum for a list of stores!

How exciting! It's only weeks away from 2nd season premieres (in Japan) of some of our favorites. I'm talking Fullmetal Alchemist, Beyblade, and even Bakugan. Random Curiosity has a small clip of the latest Fullmetal commercial. You can view it HERE!

Thank goodness we can still depend on Funimation to bring innovative new anime series to North America! In the past few weeks Funimation has announced the following licenses: Bamboo Blade, Blassreiter, Dragonaut the Resonance, El Cazador De La Bruja, Seto no Hanayome, Mnemosyne, and Tower of Druaga. I'm curious what genre you prefer so that is the subject of the next poll. Please Vote!

Speaking of anime coming to DVD, we can look forward to seeing Digimon Data Squad (a.k.a. Digimon Savers) coming to DVD thanks to "Well Go USA." A box set containing the 1st 13 episodes is coming soon.

Wrapping up....Spin Master's Bakugan (Battle Pack Series 1 Spheres) wins "Boy Toy of the Year" and "Toy of the Year" honors at the 9th Annual Toy of the Year (TOY) Awards!! Those spheres are pretty amazing!

A Fullmetal Alchemist preview played right after the Japanese airing of Gundam 00 2nd Season. One of my favorite sites (Random Curiosity) has the small clip. You can view it HERE! I am sooo looking forward to April when it premieres!!

The New York Comic Con took place this past weekend and although no new anime series licenses were announced, there was plenty of new manga series. Included in the announcements were Gundam 00 (or Gundam 00 related), Yu-Gi-Oh! R, and Boys Over Flowers Epilogue to name just a few.
