Detective Kuramori arrives home to find his wife and child brutally slaughtered. An explosion rings out from his office. Hirokawa's group has made their move!

In the countryside, Shinichi and Miki are going at it. They've noticed that Miki is unbalanced and take advantage of his shortcomings. Migi is able to decapitate him, but to their horror, Gotou forms! As it turns out, he was one of the parasites occupying the body. Gotou is much stronger, and Shinichi realizes they must make a run for it and regroup.

Poor Detective Kuramori meets with Hirama. They want him to work with the police and discover he's been working with another human. The detective does not tell them about Shinichi and resolves to avenge his family on his own.

While having dinner at a restaurant, Shinichi sees the news announcing that Kuramori's family were killed. He realizes they are after Kuramori and begins to fear for his own father's safety. The boy quickly calls home. After much prodding, Shinichi convinces the older man to trust him and leave town. The boy cannot rest easy especially with the recurring nightmares he's been having.

Back in town, Reiko is surrounded by Kusano and two other parasites!
