Hello, you guys! I’m back! I’m so glad some people like my story! Many thanks to Guardian Angel and the others for the great feedback, and everyone who read and liked “Return of Kurogasa”.
Due to my excessive school work, (I’m a 10th grader myself, and school’s HARD!!!) I think I’ll only be able to update once a week, but if I get lots of positive feedback, I may even update twice, or up to three times a week! So, give positive feedback and make Sora-chan happy! Now, enough of my useless ranting. On with the show!
Rurouni Kenshin Highschool Madness!

Chapter 2: Lunch Time: Meet the Kenshingumi
It was lunchtime, and by then, Kaoru had told Misao almost everything about her life, including the fact that she disliked most skateboarders.
“So, let me get this straight… You don’t like skateboarders? But, why?” asked Misao, obviously confused by her friend. Why in the world would someone NOT like skateboarders? Almost all of them were cool. In fact, the most popular guys in school were terrific skateboarders, not to mention the guy she had a crush on.
“Maybe because I just can’t stand most of them. In Kyoto, where I came from, they gang up on kids, bug the neighborhood, they listened to that hateful rap music and...they play with your heart.”
“Did that ever happen to you?”
“Well, sorta. One of them was my boyfriend, until he started to be mean and mistreated me. I left him, but even now he’s looking for me because supposedly he fell madly in love with me. Personally, I don’t think he’s up to any good. I’m afraid one day he’ll show up around here. He could easily find out my new address. And he’s dangerous, leader of his own gang of thugs.”
“Well, in that case, you should have some friends that you can count on in case you need any help. How ‘bout I introduce you to my other best friend? She’s a senior (A/n: In my school, they call 12th graders “seniors”), and she’s really cool, and pretty, and she has a cute boyfriend and… OH MY GOD!!! LOOK OVER THERE, KAORU!” said Misao with a dreamy expression.
A tall, handsome boy with black hair and icy blue eyes walked by them. Misao started to act weird.
“Oh, my wonderful Aoshi-sama! How I long the day you will pay attention to me! The day you’ll finally smile at me!” she said, dancing around the hallway.
“Um, Misao, are you alright?” asked Kaoru worried at her friend’s freaky reaction. “He’s just…a guy.”
“Aoshi Shinomori…” she continued.
“Let me guess…you have a crush on him?”
“You’re a GENIUS! How’d you figure that out?” she said sarcastically.
Kaoru answered in an equally sarcastic tone. “Lucky guess.”
“Oh, well. Aoshi can wait. C’mon! I’ll introduce you to Megumi.” Misao said, pulling Kaoru to the lunchroom. She led Kaoru to a table were a girl with long loose black hair and foxy green eyes was sitting.
(A/n: I wasn’t sure what color Megumi’s eyes were, so I just put a color that seemed to fit her and her “foxy” attitude.”
“Hello, Fox! How was your morning?” said Misao happily. ( A/n: Man, how can she be so…so…I don’t know…Happy? Oh well. Who cares, anyway?)
“Fine, Weasel. The only problem is that I can’t find Sano anywhere.” Replied Megumi. Then she noticed Kaoru behind Misao. “Oh, who’s this, Misao? I’ve never seen her before.”
“Oh, this is the new transfer student at my group. Megumi, meet Kaoru Kamiya. Kaoru, this is Megumi Takani. She’s one of the ones who call me Weasel sometimes. But I don’t mind much when my FRIENDS call me that.”
“A pleasure to meet you, Kamiya-san. “
“Oh, the pleasure’s all mine, Takani-san.”
“So, Megumi, having problems finding your Rooster-head boyfriend?” said Misao playfully. “Are you worried he may be flirting again?”
“Yeah. It’s so hard to have a boyfriend like him… handsome, cool, best kick-boxer around, star of the basketball team, and one of the pro-to-be skaters in school. Girls look at him too much, and he’s such a flirt!”
“Y…your boyfriend’s a skater?” asked Kaoru timidly. “Is he…nice?
“Oh, Megumi, Kaoru doesn’t like skaters much.”
“But Sano’s not at all like most of the other skaters. He’s really nice and funny. The only thing he has like them is that he’s terrific with a skateboard. He doesn’t listen to rap, or gangs up on kids, or bothers the neighborhood.”
“Hey, how did you know…” Kaoru didn’t finish. A group of guys passed their table, joking and laughing. Among them she saw the red-haired guy from before!
“It’s…him.” She said without thinking.
“Sanosuke’s there, so no more worries for me.” Sighed Megumi.
“Who’s “him”, Kaoru?” asked Misao, looking around the lunchroom. Megumi noticed how Kaoru was looking at Kenshin. When Kenshin looked their way, Kaoru turned around blushing. Then Megumi laughed her famous trademark “Ohoho…” laugh. Misao was confused.
“What’s so funny, Fox?” Misao asked
“Kaoru, I thought you didn’t like most skaters much.”
“I don’t.” said Kaoru waving her hands in front of her face.
“Then why are you looking at Kenshin like that?” asked Megumi with a smirk on her face. At hearing Kenshin’s name, Kaoru immediately asked.
“You know him, too?”
“Oh, everybody knows him. Kenshin Himura’s the most popular guy in the whole damn school! Top student, captain of the Kendo team, Star soccer player, mysterious, hard-core rock guitar player, and he’s the best skateboarder in all of Tokyo. Rumor has it that he’ll become pro before he leaves high school. Not to mention he’s super-Hot! Of course, my Aoshi-sama is hotter!” obviously this was said by Misao, our favorite weasel girl.
“Heck, you’re obsessed with that guy, Misao.” Said Kaoru, rolling her eyes.
“Yeah. She even goes to the extent of calling him ‘-sama’. One would think he’s her master or something.” Added Megumi.
“Whatever. So, Kaoru, you know Kenshin?”
“Well, sorta. We literally ran into each other this morning. I had a conversation with him on my way to school. He was really nice and polite.”
“Don’t tell me you fell for him.” Said Megumi with a sly grin.
“No, of course not.” Kaoru turned around blushing.
“But, you know he hasn’t dated anybody yet, even though he’s the most sought-after guys at school. I guess he’s just so shy.” Pointed out Misao.
“Really?” said Kaoru all too eagerly.
“Why do you ask, Kaoru? Is little Kaoru Kamiya interested in Kenshin Himura? Could it be possible that he has melted your heart?” said our favorite Fox-lady.
Kaoru shook the blush off. “No. I’m never gonna fall for a skater again. I may become friends with one, but I won’t fall for one again. Never!”
**************************************************************************
“Hey, Kenshin! Come over here!” yelled Sanosuke Sagara, Kenshin’s best friend and also Megumi Takani’s boyfriend.
“Coming, Sano.” Said Kenshin before shooting a last glimpse at the girl he met in the morning. She was hanging out with Misao. He chuckled. Misao was kind of crazy, and he knew she would show that to Kaoru soon enough. “That is, if she hasn’t already.” Said Kenshin to himself. He then headed to where Sano was sitting, together with some of the friends that formed his group, the Kenshingumi, as Sano’s brother called them. These were Soujiro, Aoshi and Rikkuse (One of my own characters. He’s Rikkuse Sagara, Sano’s brother. He doesn’t look like Sano at all. He has spiky golden hair and aquamarine eyes, and he’s SUPER CUTE! I drew him once, and he looked so handsome… Oh, and just so you know, Tae and Tsubame are Sanosuke’s sisters. Sano has a BIG family, like he’s a BIG Sano and a BIG friend. Hehe…)
“So, Kenshin, what’re you doing this afternoon?” asked Rikkuse.
“Oh, Rikkuse’s just dying for you to invite us over, Kenshin. He can’t wait to see…”Sano didn’t finish because Rikkuse covered his mouth and sweat dropped.
(A/n: Could it be? Kenshin has a family?)
“There’s no need to hide it, Rikkuse. We all know you like Kenshin’s cousin. Heck, even she knows it.” Said a smiling Soujiro. (A/n: GOD! Won’t he ever stop his annoying smiling? Oh well. Whatever.)
“Maybe you should talk to her someday, Rikkuse.” Said Kenshin putting his hand on Rikkuse’s shoulder.
“I…I can’t. I’m too shy. Sora is just too good for me. I mean, she can beat me fighting, both in swordsmanship and kickboxing, for crying out loud!”
“Don’t forget she beats you in school, soccer, basketball, skateboarding and videogames, too.” Added Sano with a hateful smirk.
“Thanks a lot, Sano. You are SOOOO Helpful.” Fumed Rikkuse sarcastically.
“You’re welcome, bro.”
“Speaking of which, have you guys seen Sora today?” asked Kenshin looking around the lunchroom.
“No. Rikkuse’s worried something might have happened. Not that you could protect her more than she can protect herself.” Sano bugged some more.
“Hmm.” Kenshin let his eyes wander across the lunchroom. His eyes fell once again on Kaoru, and he remembered part of the conversation he had overheard just a minute ago:
(A/n: Of course, people who don’t have keen hearing couldn’t have possibly heard that, put, this is Kenshin.)
…
“I don’t like skateboarders.” said Kaoru.
“You don’t like them. But…why?” Misao asked her curiously.
“Because they’re all the same!”
…
“I’ll never fall for one of them again. Never!”
…
That was a hard blow for him. He really liked Kaoru, the fist time he had been interested in someone, but apparently he wouldn’t have even the slightest chance with her. She had said she would never fall for a skater again.
“Kenshin, who’s that you’re looking at, huh?” said Sano with smirk.
Kenshin blushed and averted his gaze. “What do you mean, Sano?”
“Never mind. Hey, you guys have dates for February? Remember, it’s Valentine’s Day, and there’s a disco party. Also, I’m taking Megumi out to a concert.”
“Which one?”
“Simple Plan’s giving a Valentine’s Day showing, and Megumi absolutely loves that group. (Me too! Me too! Simple Plan RULES!!!) Almost as much as she loves me. That Megumi’s such a FOX!!!”
“RESPECT, SANO!!!!!” said Kenshin, Aoshi, Soujiro and Rikkuse at the same time.
“Anyway, who are you guys planning on taking out?” continued Sano.
“We really don’t know.” Said Rikkuse.
“Oh yes you do! You’re planning on asking Sora out, aren’t you?” smirked Sano.
“Maybe I will…”
“Kenshin, what about you?” asked Soujiro.
“He’s probably dying to ask that Kamiya girl out.” Said Aoshi, to the amazement of everybody. (You know, Aoshi’s not someone who would take part in a conversation.)
“Really, Kenshin? And you were hiding it from me?” Sano said pretending to be hurt.
“What are you talking about, Sano?” Kenshin said trying to sound as clueless as possible, but I guess it didn’t work…
“Don’t play dumb with me, Kenshin!” Sano replied as he was giving Kenshin countless noogies. Kenshin started to get swirly-eyed. “Oops. Sorry, buddy. I guess I don’t know my own strength.”
“You forget your own strength, Sano; that you do. Orororororo…” ‘THUD’ Kenshin fell backwards to the floor.
“Ooh, that hurt…”
TO BE CONTINUED…

Well, what do you guys think? Kaoru meets Megumi, we get introduced to the Kenshingumi (Gosh, that rhymes! I’m a poet! I’m a poet! No I’m not!) Kaoru likes Kenshin, although she won’t admit it, Kenshin likes Kaoru, but now he’s a bit sad, we meet one of my own characters… So much happened! Give positive feedback, and there’s more to come! Sayonara for now.
