The Age Chooses Shishio

Shishio has taken a hearty bite (Somebody feed this man!) out of Kenshin's shoulder. As our hero oozes blood from his wound, Shishio declares how the weak are food for the strong...."It is the strongest who remain at the top of the food chain," he continues, "and the Meiji Government are weak and don't belong in power!"

Survival of the fittest through chaos!

Kenshin slowly rises protesting those demented words. Shishio grabs Kenshin, lifting him by the collar. Just as Kenshin recognized the smell of gun powder, an explosion rings out. Shishio has used secret sword II, whereby he has gun powder tucked away in his gauntlet (protective glove) and ignited it with his homura dama. Kenshin falls to the ground in a shock and injury induced unconsciousness.

Suddenly, Saitou bursts through the double doors with sword drawn and pierces Shishio's head.....but what's this??? It was a clean hit, but Shishio's head is protected by a metal plate. He wears it ever since he was shot in the head when the Meiji Government attempted to kill him.

Shishio and Saitou continue their bloody battle. Unfortunately, Saitou had deep wounds on both legs which reduced his speed. Even using every style of his Gatotsu was not enough to bring Shishio down. Saitou is left lying in a pool of his own blood.

Sanosuke, seeing his comrades are near death, is enraged and charges at Shishio. Every attack Sano attempts is countered by Shishio with an even more powerful one. In one attempt, Sano crushes his hand when using his Futae no Kiwami. Finally, the human torch hits Sano with a mighty punch that sends him flying into the wall.....blood sprays from the front of his head. Shishio laughs psychotically as images display of each of our downed heroes. Hoji and Yumi are ecstatic and beg the evil man to finish them off. It looks like the end...until....another figure appears at the door. It's Aoshi.

Has Aoshi had a change of heart? Is it the end of Kenshin and the others? You've got to watch the next exciting episode!!!
