Magdaria is the delicate, gentle younger sister of Shougo. Her real name is Sayo, but feels that only her brother may use that name. She teaches and preaches Christianity in a Grand Cathedral hidden deeply within a cave. When not preaching, she can be seen playing the piano for her brother.

Magdaria first meets Sano in episode 68. Even though she finds him a brute, Magdaria can't quite get him off her mind. Later she reveals how thankful she is to have met him and learned that there are good people outside of Christians.

In later episodes, we find that Magdaria is stricken with Tuberculosis , however, it is not the disease that will cause her eventual death (Oops that was a spoiler).
