Kazuma

The episode opens with Kazuma wreaking destruction. He is single handedly responsible for causing a plane disaster. Why is he doing this?

Further into the episode, we learn that Kazuma does everything for a price. It is his means of existence. His associate and friend, Kunihiko Kimishima, confronts him with another job. A huge alter by the name of Biff is terrorizing innocent citizens. Kazuma takes the job even though the price is low. Kunihiko and Kazuma arrive to find Biff bullying a friend of theirs. Kazuma and Biff unleash their alters in order to challenge one another. Even though Biff's huge robot-like alter is powerful, it is no match for Kazuma's amazing right arm.

Immediately after Kazuma defeats Biff, a large vessel appears. It is the members of Holy, the special division inside the anti-alter agency...Hold. Kazuma tells the others to leave, but his price will certainly be increased. He comes face to face with Ryuho, a very powerful alter user working for Holy. In the end it appears as if Kazuma is defeated by Ryuho's human-like alter.

Mimori Kiryu has come back from the Mainland to visit a special friend.

7 years ago: A party on the lost grounds. A young Mimori runs up to her father after he calls for her. She is introduced to the Corneal and then the room turns silent. Ryu Tyran, the one in charge, walks out with a little boy with green hair next to him. Ryu greets his guests and walks back in with the little boy. Mimori's father tells Mimori to go and meet Ryu. Mimori walks up the stairs and sees Ryu Tyran sitting and the boy (who turns out to be his son) standing. Mimori greets them. The boy tells her that his name is Ryuho. Mimori asks Ryuho if he would like to keep her company since there is no one else her age. They walk out to the balcony carrying on a conversation until something causes Ryuho to lose control of his alter power. As a result, a stone pole next to Mimori crumbles. Feeling ashamed, Ryuho tells Mimori politely if she is invited to see him, please decline for he fears he may accidentally hurt her. With Ryuho out of site, Mimori bends down and picks up a diamond shaped stone that was the result of the boy's alter. The young girl holds it affectionately.

Not long after, Mimori is seen walking up to Ryuho's mother, who is watering flowers. Ryuho is not far off playing with his dog, Zetsuei. Mimori greets Ryuho's mother. The two girls are talking when Ryuho notices Mimori and is surprised. The children begin their own conversation near a fountain. Mimori tells Ryuho that their parents think of them as friends now, and they should make what their parents say....a reality. Unfortunately, after only six months, Mimori's father retired, and they move back to the Mainland.

Present: Mimori has exited the airport, and Straight Cougar is there to pick her up. Cougar tells her that he is part of HOLD and is an Alter. Then he shows her his alter power by turning the car he is driving into a super fast race car. He finally stops in front of HOLD's headquarters. They enter, and Mimori isn't feeling well after that ride. There she is greeted by Sheris Adjani. She also sees the person she looked forward to seeing again, Ryuho. But what she sees isn't what she expects. Ryuho is colder and harsher than the last time she saw him.

A little while later, Mimori goes to HOLD's lavish cafeteria/restaurant and talks to Sheris. Their conversation ends when a man approaches Sheris with info on an Alter attack. The blue haired girl must leave. Cougar shows up, calls Mimori... "Minor", and offers to take her to see the Alter fight. They travel to a cliff a good distance away from the confrontation. With binoculars, Mimori watches as Ryuho faces another Alter whom she recognized from her flight to the lost grounds. It is dark, and a cold wind flows through her. "The sky is so very close to the stars." she thinks.

6 years ago: Thunder burst through the sky hitting everything on the ground below. The area is in ruins as many lay still. A young Ryuho scrambled to his knees. He looked over to see Zetsuei (his dog) licking at his mother's fingers while she lay motionless. Ryuho crawled closer to his mother to see if she was alright but a colorful light took his eye. He looked up to see a figure. One black left arm and one white right arm. Lightning went toward his arms as the colorful light reappeared. Zetsuei ran forward at the figure but was pushed back by the strong winds the Alter was creating. Ryuho put his head on Zetsuei. When he was able to look up, he saw that a large ditch took the place of the area where his mother was lying. She was no where in sight. Sorrow and anger washed over him as he screamed for his mother. His Alter power began to take shape as matter around him and Zetsuei's collar formed into its own figure. That figure was Ryuho's true Alter form. What is now Zetsuei.

Sheris, Commander Zigmar and Mimori watch the captured Native Alter's go through torturing treatment tanks. Mimori is skeptical of HOLD's radical treatment. NP3228, better know as Kazuma, is released from one of the treatment pods and collapses. When he regains his vision, Ryuho is standing before him. Kazuma breaks free and is about to attack Ryuho, but he is kneed in the stomach. Ryuho orders him back to the treatment pod after which he will be sent to the interrogation room.

The scene switches to Kimishima, who is telling Kanami that Kazuma is working on a special job so he won't be back until later.....then he drives away.

A little while later, Kazuma is seen in the interrogation room with three Darts holding him still. If Kazuma would swear his loyalty with HOLD, he would be re-educated and be part of society. But to Kazuma, he just thinks of the one who defeated him so easily.......Ryuho. Ryuho notices that the interrogation is doing nothing and goes in. Zetsuei and Ryuho take care of Kazuma easily. Zetsuei holds Kazuma while Ryuho asks if Kazuma has ever met a Native Alter user of thunder. It has one black left arm and one white right arm. Kazuma fools Ryuho into believing he did making Ryuho infuriated and throws Kazuma through a wall to where Mimori and Sheris were observing.

Meanwhile, Kimishima (wearing a hat) enters the city in an effort to find Kazuma.

Returning to HOLD,  Kazuma is pushed into an enclosed room and charged with hard labor for life. Mimori dislikes the verdict feeling it is cruel....after all, its only been one meeting. She goes to visit him in his cell, unfortunately, little did she know that Kazuma would break out by dressing as one of HOLD's men. He enters HOLY's lobby searching for Ryuho, but finds most of the members of HOLY. Tachibana is sucker punched after trying to stop him. The Commander gives the OK for all of the Holy Alters to teach Kazuma a lesson. Suddenly an elevator door opens with Mimori inside. Kazuma takes the opportunity to grab her as a hostage and escape.

Kazuma and Mimori escape in a vehicle. Even though they know which one, Holy's hands are tied for to attack could result in injury to Mimori. However, the speedy Cougar catches up to them. Kazuma's name seems familiar to Cougar but he ignores it for now. When Kazuma uses his alter to hook up with Kimishima, Cougar must save Mimori before her car meets with an accident.

Kimishima and Kazuma are able to escape using the Alter User's annihilating second bullet to break through gate 6. Ryuho watches angrily the escape just before hunching over gasping and spitting blood. Kazuma's attack has really taken its toll. Mimori turns to Cougar wondering why he seemed to recognize the boy. He simply brushed it off.

Outside the city, Kimishima and Kazuma return to their homes. A dreaming Kanami awakens to see the friendly face of Kazuma. She smiles happily.
