Awakening

INTRO: The beginning scene depicts Yakumo exiting her sleep while the narrator gives a brief recap of the war between humans and enterrans. It is up to Yakumo to seek out the sanctuary Shinzo and bring peace to humans and enterrans.

A young mauve-haired enterran is chained to a cliff that hovers above a raging river. He cries for help claiming he was framed. Below a couple enterrans read the sign that indicates the crimes that were committed.

Here Hangs the Hyper-Enterran, Mushra (The boy who would be king). The hyper enterran Mushra is suspended over the water of truth for impersonating a king. and for receiving food under false pretences. (signed by the Sheriff)

After hours and hours, Mushra feels his chains move. A pretty young girl (Yakumo) comes to his aid and works day and night to break the chain. Finally a link breaks and the ledge holding both Mushra and Yakumo crumbles into the river. Yakumo pulls the boy to safety. Mushra utters a quick "thank you" and starts to walk away....he wants to find the guys that strung him up. Yakumo talks him out of revenge.

After a while the two get to know one another. Mushra is surprised to find out that Yakumo is a human. He tells her humans have been extinct for hundreds of years. Yakumo tells Mushra her quest, and he offers to journey with her so she may be protected.

The next scene shows a group of flying insect enterrans in hot pursuit of Mushra and Yakumo. (Watch this closely...it is quite obvious that a portion where Mushra initially hyper forms has been cut.) The two are eventually caught by Katris, who claims to be the world's greatest bounty hunter.

After a brief commercial, we find that the insect enterrans have strung up Yakumo and Mushra from an ancient Statue of Liberty. A fire is set underneath them, while dozens of enterrans (including Kutal) watch and cheer for the destruction of the evil human. Sago comes to the rescue riding his flying scooter and dowsing the fire with his water skills. Mushra is able to free himself and Yakumo, but they're not safe yet! Both Katris and Mushra hyper form and carry on a fierce battle. When Mushra gets the upper hand and is ready to destroy Katris, Yakumo begs him not to do it. "Violence is his way, not ours," she pleads. And with that hesitation, Katris escapes leaving a confused and frustrated Mushra. Sago is surprised how a human girl is able to tame Mushra.

Mushra and Yakumo (riding in Hakuba) are back to their search for Shinzo. Up pulls a very large cat enterran called Kutal riding in a flying car-like vehicle. He weasels his way into their group saying he is an explorer and directions are his forte. Kutal even shows Yakumo and picture of himself outside what he says is Shinzo. Yakumo, of course, is very excited, but Mushra doesn't trust him. Suddenly, Kutal sees what he believes to be honey bees. Drooling, he tells Mushra and Yakumo to follow him down into a cave. While looking for Kutal, Sago appears. He whispers to Mushra that it isn't nice to keep a pretty girl from his best friend. Mushra argues, "Since when have you become my best friend?"

Meanwhile, Kutal's quest for honey turns out to be bees wax, and it isn't long before the group is surrounded by hunting beings led by their queen. The group flees and just when they think they're safe, the Queen Being grabs Yakumo using her red whip. This Queen is anxious to devour Yakumo in order to gain the human's beauty. Mushra comes running, but is hit over and over again. The Queen Being spits out stakes that act as a virtual prison for Sago and Kutal. They can only watch as Mushra is pummeled. Just before the queen is about to have Yakumo for lunch, Mushra hyper forms. The Queen hyper forms as well. Their battle eventually causes a large rail car to fall on the Queen....carding her. Unfortunately Katris shows up and grabs the Queen Being's card. He absorbs the card and hyper forms to an even more powerful enterran foe.

Mushra again battles the hyper Katris and gets the upper hand. Katris and Yakumo beg Mushra to show mercy, however, when Mushra turns his back, Katris tries to attack once again. This time Mushra shows no mercy and cards the enterran once and for all.

A short time later, it's back to their quest, but this time they are joined by Sago and Kutal. With friends like these Yakumo is positive they WILL find Shinzo.

NOTE: Dunno why, but for some reason they combined episodes 1 and 2 to produce this extremely confusing episode. Things should make more sense after episode 2. Of course, seeing episode 2 will have you thinking that you're experiencing deja vu (^_^).

Bee-Ware of the Hunters

This episode elaborates on what was already seen in episode 1. Even the intro shows portions that were cut. It begins with the first battle between hyper Mushra and Katris. Then gets into Yakumo and Mushra's meeting with Kutal. There is also additional footage of the caves where they happen upon old railroad cars.

It is this episode where we seeing Yakumo bandaging an injured Kutal thus swaying him her way. It's also interesting to note that when chased by the honey beings, Mushra was unable to hyper mode. Once Yakumo is captured by the Queen Being, the rest is pretty much a duplication of the first episode. Deja vu, anyone?

Day at the Park

Coming

Kiri

Mushra races around on his hover disc and accidentally runs into a young female child. Imagine his surprise when she acts frightened and claims to be human. When giant caterpillars ascend upon them, the child faints. Mushra grabs her and races to inform the others.

Back at the campsite, Kutal is preparing another of his culinary masterpieces. Too bad it ends up on the ground after everyone must flee from the attacking caterpillar enterrans. Mushra catches up with the others, and they all duck into an old vehicle....one of many residing in an ancient junkyard. The child awakens and grabs Yakumo shuddering. The child says her name is Kiri, and she had escaped from Shinzo in order to find Yakumo and bring her back. Yakumo is overjoyed to hear that there are many others like her.

Meanwhile, in a castle nearby, King Daku is anxious to do away with Yakumo. Just what is going on? Seems his henchmen are aware of their location in that junkyard. And speaking of the junkyard....when the vehicle where Yakumo and the others are hiding overturns, they are spotted. Luckily, Mushra and company are able to elude their pursuers and continue towards Shinzo based on Kiri's directions.

The route to Shinzo has the group traveling through a dense fog. When the fog clears, they spot a castle. Kiri informs them that this is Shinzo. The young girl says she knows of a secret passage to enter Shinzo, but says enterrans MUST stay behind. Kiri's attitude has Mushra and the others feeling that Yakumo is turning against them. Mushra demands that Yakumo choose! When Yakumo says she will accompany Kiri, Mushra, Sago, and Kutal leave feeling angry and rejected.

Flashback: Yakumo exits from her cryogenic sleep and listens to the recording left by her father.

Hakuba takes the girls closer to the castle by riding underwater. Kiri tells him to follow the light on the water's surface to get there. Once on land and very close to the castle, Yakumo and Kiri come face to face with a huge scorpion enterran. Their screams echo through the night. Mushra and the others arrive just in time. While they are battling the creature, Yakumo and Kiri are grabbed by a large plant that disappears into the ground.

Mushra, Sago and Kutal are now battling many of King Daku's henchmen. Just as it seems that our heroes may get a chance to save Yakumo, a large armor clad enterran appears ordering his men to surround Mushra and the others. It's King Daku. He bitterly charges them with high treason and promises a very unpleasant punishment.
