Episodes 25 - 27 SummariesEilis of the StormAwesome summary and comments written by LKK. Thank you!
The episode opens with Binka thinking of Yakumo and wondering what they can do to stop the Kadrians. The scene quickly moves to a series of flashbacks as Binka remembers the events from the Dream Center. Binka, Sago, and Kutal are in the globe room of the amusement park watching the city burn while the Kadrians attack. Next Mushra and Eilis fight in the mirrored hall. Binka's thoughts change again. This time she pictures events that have not yet happened. Mushra, Sago, and Kutal hyperform. From a wall of flames, Eilis appears. Kutal attacks and is defeated. Sago is already down. Mushra attacks. Eilis defeats him as well. Yakumo is heard, begging Binka to stop the Kadrians at any cost. Binka must now face Eilis alone. Binka's thoughts return to the present at that point. She and the others are by a small mountain river. Kutal is cooking while the three guys argue about their retreat from the battle with Eilis at the Dream Center. Mushra is angry that the others left; he was about to defeat Eilis, he insists. The others disagree. Besides, they hadn't agreed to risk their lives on this journey. Weren't they supposed to be going to Shinzo to find Yakumo? Disappointed by guys' arguing, Binka fears everyone is doomed. Yakumo made a mistake. How could these babbling losers save the world? Kutal overhears her and says that while he doesn't like to fight, he does like to win. Binka is embarrassed at having been heard. The soup Kutal has been cooking is finally ready. However, instead of the homage to fromage that Kutal has been stewing, Eilis rises from the pot. Kutal and Sago are intimated by the Kadrian's size, but Mushra vows to say and fight. He launches himself into the air for an attack on Eilis who responds by coating the ground and the surrounding area with quicksilver. When Mushra is within range of Eilis, he spears the Kadrian with his javelin. Eilis is unfazed and grabs Mushra by the throat. The other two rush to Mushra's aid but are quickly trapped by quicksilver tentacles rising from the ground. Binka aims her bazooka at Eilis but is captured by a quicksilver tree. Furious at Binka's capture, Mushra hyperforms quickly followed by the other Enterrans. Kutal and Sago free themselves. Mushra summons his flames, melting Eilis's grip on him. Mushra frees Binka from the tree. By this time, most of the area has been covered by quicksilver. The gang find themselves in a surreal world of silvery green reflections. Mushra's flames only temporarily melted Eilis's human form. He rises again from the ground, draws quicksilver from the environment, and uses it to form Metalasaur, a metallic Godzilla-like creature. Metalasaur attacks the Hyperenterrans. They scatter, Mushra carrying Binka away to safety. Kutal attacks Metalasaur first, but the creature shoots spines from his back at the Hyperenterran. Sago summons the Aqua Dragon. Metalasaur launches more spines. Aqua Dragon swallows them, but they pierce his head and the dragon is destroyed. Fights between Metalasaur and Sago and Kutal rage throughout the quicksilver zone. Meanwhile, Mushra has flown Binka outside the zone to safety. He sets her down behind a tree and tells her to stay there. Before he can rejoin the others, Binka says she wants them to flee. Run away so you won't be hurt, she asks. Mushra refuses, promising her that he'll be fine, and asks her to have faith in him. Back at the battle scene, Sago summons the Aqua Dragon for a second attack. Kutal splits the ground beneath Metalasaur. Neither attack is successful. Eilis is unimpressed with their efforts and predicts that when he has claimed their jewels, he will be unstoppable. Mushra arrives and engulfs Eilis in a vortex in flames. As before, the heat melts Eilis to quicksilver. And as before, Eilis reforms shortly afterwards. Outside the quicksilver zone, Binka can hear the fight raging inside the zone. She's very worried. The Hyperenterrans have Eilis outnumbered three to one, but she believes they have no chance of defeating him. She remembers more of her conversation with Yakumo in the garden of Shinzo. Yakumo asks Binka to remember the names of the three Enterrans she must find. When the young girl finds them, Yakumo tells her that she must give them the jewels because the jewels will allow them to form Mushrambo. Lanancuras will escape from his tomb and destroy the world if Binka can't bring Mushra, Sago, and Kutal to Shinzo in time. Inside the quicksilver zone, Metalasaur's claws slice through Sago's body, carding him. Next, the creature pins Kutal to a mountainside, picks him up with his teeth, and cards the Hyperenterran by biting him to pieces. Watching, Binka realizes her nightmarish dream is beginning to come true. Now that Mushra's friends have been carded, Eilis commands that Mushra kneel before him. Mushra refuses. At Shinzo, Yakumo can sense the battle her friends are waging. She affirms her belief that her friends will come for her. As Mushra attacks with his spear, Yakumo's voice reminds him that he has never let her down before and that she believes in him. Eilis grabs Mushra's javelin, reverses it, and gives it back to Mushra -- through the Hyperenterran's back. Mushra collapses. Binka screams as she realizes her nightmare has come true completely. Gloating at two lifeless cards and one broken Enterran, Eilis wonders where Mushrambo can be hiding. Immobile on the ground, Mushra has another visionary encounter with Yakumo. He sorrows that he can't defeat Eilis, the Kadrian is too powerful. Yakumo tells him that he must, the two have been through so much. They even changed the destiny of Enterra. Mushra asks her if Mushrambo really exists. She say that he not only does he exist but Mushrambo is a part of Mushra. To find him, Mushra look inside himself for that's where the strength lies. Mushra must believe in himself. As Eilis prepares for his final attack, he taunts the missing Mushrambo, calling for him to come out. Worried, Binka runs into the quicksilver zone. Mushra spots her and orders her to leave. She obeys but it's too late. Quicksilver tentacles rise from the ground, trapping her. Realizing that he now has a victim that might cause Mushrambo to appear, Eilis toys with Binka. He throws two daggers at her that barely miss her head. Still immobile on the ground, Mushra prays for strength. Eilis prepares to throw a third dagger at Binka, this one intended to kill her. Mushra calls for the spirits of Sago and Kutal to join him. The Hyperenterran struggles to his feet. Eilis and Mushra both sense Mushrambo's approach. Sago and Kutal's card reach Mushra. The Mushrambo transformation begins. Mushrambo's transformation is felt throughout Enterra. In Shinzo, Yakumo senses Lanancuras awakening. Lanancuras senses Mushrambo's rebirth. In the Kadrians' lair, the female Kadrian also senses Mushrambo's return, but she is unconcerned for Lanancuras will be free soon. At the quicksilver zone, Mushrambo frees Binka from the tentacles. Eilis is unimpressed by Mushrambo. "A common Enterran dressed up in fancy clothes. When I'm through with you, not even the Guardians will recognize who you are." Quicksilver darts fly from Eilis's chest, but Mushrambo with Binka in his arms leaps into the air, avoiding them. Mushrambo responds with a ball of purple light that knocks Eilis off his feet. Binka realizes that Mushrambo has the power to defeat the Kadrians that Yakumo had told her about. Eilis recovers from Mushrambo's attack and merges with Metalasaur. The new Eilis attacks Mushrambo with a solar inferno, a weapon that has never failed the Kadrian before. As the smoke dissipates, Mushrambo and Binka emerge unharmed. Binka wisely decides that she should get out of the way, leaving Mushrambo free to attack with another, more powerful, purple ball -- one that attacks Eilis's nervous system. Desperate to win, Eilis lunges for Mushrambo, but an aura shield protects the warrior. Eilis attacks again; Mushrambo slices through the Kadrian with his sword. Eilis dissolves into quicksilver. Binka celebrates only to discover herself caught in Eilis's arms after he reforms behind her. Holding Binka hostage, Eilis orders Mushrambo to drop his sword. The warrior does then yells to Binka who slips from Eilis's grasp. Mushrambo kicks his sword into the air across to Eilis where it lands in the Kadrian's skull. Eilis begins to dissolve again; Mushrambo retrieves his sword and slices three times through the dissolving Kadrian. Only Eilis's cut card remains behind. It disappears. Eilis is gone for good. His death cry is heard worldwide. Later, Binka and the guys -- separate and in normal form again -- travel towards Shinzo again. Binka is positively giddy at the idea that she will be seeing Yakumo soon. In the Kadrian's lair, the female watches the Kadrian army march by. She knows that the three Enterrans are now able to form Mushrambo and that Mushrambo destroyed Eilis. But she is unconcerned. Her king, Lanancuras, has legendary powers. Soon Mushrambo will be nothing more than a footnote in Enterra's history. The episode ends with Binka and the guys standing at the edge of a cliff. She shows them Shinzo; it can be seen on the edge of the horizon. Mushra makes a promise to Yakumo. They are coming for her. Comments
1) Kutal and Sago's dialogue in the globe room is not the same dialogue they spoke in the episode Nightmare Dream Center although the animation is the same. Reviving YakumoAwesome summary and comments written by LKK. Thank you!
The episode opens at the Shinzo shrine. Yakumo is praying, begging Mushra to come soon. The female Kadrian's eyes appear in the night sky, commanding a lightening strike to eliminate Yakumo. A violent bolt of lightening hits the complex. The shockwave reaches Yakumo who collapses. The next day, Binka and the three Enterrans are traveling across a grassy knoll. The girl is giddy with the thought of reaching Yakumo again. Mushra wonders if Binka is certain of the way. Of course, she answers. She's been to Shinzo before. Binka's enthusiasm spreads to the guys who are eager to meet Yakumo for the first time. Binka calls to Mushra, pointing out a mountain cliff that they're approaching. The cliff is Mount Shinzo; Shinzo itself is on the mountain's plateau. The four follow a grassy road that curves through a forest. Afterwards, they cross a wooden bridge that passes by a waterfall. The road leads into a group of wild apple trees. Mushra flies up to pick an apple. Unfortunately, he chooses an unripe green one. He throws the partially eaten apple on the ground after discovering its bitter taste. Culinary expert Kutal points out that Mushra should have picked a red apple instead. After fording a stream, the guys discuss their newfound ability to form Mushrambo. Not surprisingly, they begin to argue over who is the most important person in the Mushrambo triad. Binka looks to the audience and explains that, despite how they are acting, the three really do come together to form the great warrior. As the gang drives on a dirt road on the side of Mount Shinzo, Mushra asks Binka if Yakumo will know who they are. Sago is puzzled about that as well. How can Yakumo know who Mushrambo is without having ever met them before? Binka isn't certain how Yakumo knows this, but she's convinced that Yakumo has met the three. The meteor that hit Enterra in the past is the key, she tells them. But the key to what is uncertain. The gang reaches another wooden bridge beside a waterfall that looks exactly like the bridge they crossed earlier, as Sago dubiously notes. Binka realizes that she's forgotten something important. "What?" asks Mushra jokingly. Has Binka realized that they are on the wrong path and traveling around in circles? No, Binka had meant to take a photograph of the waterfall for her scrapbook; that's all. They enter another group of wild apple trees. Mindful of his previous experience with the green apple, Mushra picks a red one this time. Binka suggests that they take some apples to Yakumo. Mushra throws numerous apples to the ground, eventually burying Binka and the turtlemobile in a mound of apples. Back on the ground, Mushra realizes that he accidentally picked a green apple in his haste. Then he sees that apple has been bitten into. It's the same green apple he partially ate before. Sago believes they have been traveling in circles, but Binka assures him that there is only one road to Shinzo. She has never been lost when coming to Shinzo in the past. Kutal points out that the road hasn't branched. So they couldn't have made a wrong turn. Ever impatient, Mushra wants to move on. They need to get to the top of Mount Shinzo. Traveling again, the gang follows a grassy road that curves through the forest. Binka is certain that this is the correct way and urges them to hurry. They ford another stream. At another cliffside dirt road, Mushra begins to get suspicious. Binka is confused. This repetition of environments never happened on her previous trips. They cross a wooden bridge, again. Back inside a group of apple trees, Sago refuses to go any farther. If they keep on the road they have been following, they will just end up back here, he argues. Mushra decides to take a shortcut off the road through the trees. Putting deeds to words, he takes off into the woods, only to painfully hit an invisible barrier moments later. After investigating the barrier, Sago concludes that there must be an invisible dome surrounding them. Mushra is convinced that Kadrians are responsible, but he's not worried. Sago is more sensible. He realizes that a Kadrian capable of the creating the dome must have amazing powers. Still unconcerned, Mushra calls out to the Kadrian ordering him to show himself. A small female fairy flies up to Mushra. Mushra flicks her away, only to have her cut through the orange gloves and into his hand. The fairy grows to a normal height woman with wings and sword blades that extend from the forearms of her sleeves. She's a pixie Kadrian. While she's enjoyed watching the gang travel in circles, she's ready to end the game. The pixie darts through the trees, slicing them in half with her arm blades. Hovering above the gang, she uses her wings to create a tornado blast, scattering the group and blowing the downed trees at them. The wind has blown Binka to the broken branch of a tall tree. She is hanging from the branch by her belt, but the limb cracks and threatens to drop the girl to the ground. The Enterrans summon their hyperforms but are shocked to discover the transformation process failed. They are still in normal form. Binka's branch breaks loose; Mushra manages to catch her by standing on top of Kutal and Sago who tumbled on top of each other in their efforts to save the girl. The pixie Kadrian mocks their efforts. According to her, they can't form Mushrambo as long as they are in the Maze of Lunaria. The pixie summons another blast of wind; this one uproots a full-grown tree and sends it skyward. The gang realizes how formidable their foe is. Sago suggests hiding, but Mushra is ready to pluck her wings. Unimpressed by his bravado, the pixie blasts Mushra sending him skywards just as she did with the tree. High in the sky, Mushra is able to see the entire forest area. It's covered with a design of mystic energy. Realizing that the design must be the Maze of Lunaria, Mushra concludes that the only way out of the trap is to defeat the pixie. The winds holding him aloft vanish. Mushra plunges downward at a high speed. He directs his fall so that he hits the pixie dead on. He slams into her at full force, carding her. The Maze of Lunaria disappears. The gang has finally reached the top of Mount Shinzo. They stand at the steps of the ruined Greek temple. Binka calls to Yakumo and runs into the ruins looking for her. The Enterrans wait outside to allow the friends to reunite in private first. Searching the ruins and calling for Yakumo, Binka is confused that she's not around. The girl encounters a white clad figure and screams. Waiting outside, the Enterrans rush in after hearing a scream. They find Binka standing before the figure of a lifeless Yakumo. Mourning her death, Sago reasons that the Kadrians must have reached her while they were trapped in the maze. Binka's grief is unbearable, and it turns into anger. She and Yakumo had made promises to each other, she cries. Binka would find the three Enterrans and bring them to Shinzo. Yakumo would be there to meet them. Binka has fulfilled her promise, but Yakumo is no longer here. Yakumo can no longer hear her. Binka is inconsolable despite Sago and Kutal's efforts. Mushra's grief is deep as well. His visions of Yakumo have inspired him. He cannot believe she is gone. He begins to doubt that she is indeed gone. The figure sitting before them seems different. He senses a change in her. Binka is about to touch the lifeless Yakumo when Mushra orders her not to stop. That is not Yakumo, he tells her. The others are doubtful, but he insists. Mushra can sense an evil and darkness surrounding Yakumo that he has never sensed in her before. Suddenly, Yakumo's lifeless eyes move. She looks at them, but the deadness in her eyes never vanishes. She rises, zombie-like. In a voice from the grave, Yakumo blames Binka for failing her. Why didn't Binka rescue her? It's Binka's fault, the zombie Yakumo accuses. None of this would have happened if they had come to Shinzo as they had promised. Certain now that the zombie Yakumo is an impostor, Mushra demands that the impostor show who he really is. The zombie Yakumo grows and transforms into a Kadrian troll. The ruins of Shinzo disappear. Once again, the gang finds themselves within a maze. This time, the maze is a formless never-ending world of deep blue. A larger than life image of the female Kadrian appears overhead. She names herself Lunaria and demands the four bow down to her and surrender, or they will die. Mushrambo points out that they escaped from her maze before; furthermore, this time she will have to deal with Mushrambo. Lunaria informs him that within her maze, the Enterrans cannot hyperform, let alone become Mushrambo. She orders the troll to attack. The Enterrans attack in return -- Mushra with his staff, Sago with his blades, and Kutal with his mace. The troll repels each fighter in turn. Outside the maze in the real ruins of Shinzo, Lunaria watches a rotating Kadrian card that shows her the battle raging within the maze. Around her, Kadrian foot soldiers are sifting through the rubble to find Yakumo's body. Lunaria gloats. Soon the seal to Lanancuras's tomb will be broken. Her king will be free, and Mushrambo won't be able to defeat him. Everything is going according to her plan. Inside the maze, the Enterrans try a simultaneous attack from three different angles. The troll only has two hands to use against the three warriors, surely one of the three attacks will succeed. The troll captures Kutal with one hand, Sago with the other. Attacking from behind, Mushra has a clear shot until a hand grows from the troll's back capturing the Enterran. The three hands begin to squeeze their victims to death. Kneeling in front of the troll, bazooka at the ready, Binka orders their release. A fourth hand sprouts from the troll's chest, capturing the girl. Watching the battle through her card, Lunaria almost wishes the Enterrans could hyperform and become Mushrambo so that she could witness his demise. Nevertheless, she orders the troll to kill them. When they die, the Guardians will have failed, she gloats. Next will come Yakumo's failure. A foot clad in a familiar-looking shoe steps into view. The Kadrian soldiers are the first to suspect something is wrong. Just before a gold light cards them, they realize that the human has arrived. Lunaria recognizes Yakumo but cannot understand how she had enough energy left to break free of the Kadrian's control. Yakumo stands silhouetted by bright golden streaks of lightening, her eyes and her pendant pulsating with power. The gold lightening streaks through the Kadrian female, carding her. Inside the maze, the deep blue sky cracks about the troll's head. The maze shatters; the troll is carded. As the smoke around the ruins of Shinzo drift away, Yakumo is revealed standing unharmed in front of the temple. Mushra, Sago, Kutal, and Binka lie unconscious on the ground several feet away from her. Yakumo approaches the unconscious foursome, complimenting their efforts but adding that the war is not over yet. Binka awakes first and is reduced joyful tears at the sight in front of her. Mushra wakes and recognizes the woman from his visions, Yakumo. Seeming to know Mushra's thoughts, Yakumo assures him that this is no dream. He has found her, and with Mushrambo's help they can hold off Lanancuras's restoration. Sago and Kutal have woken up as well. Yakumo tells the Enterrans that she has been waiting for this her whole; the moment is finally coming true. A stiff breeze springs up on the plateau while Yakumo was talking. Sensing the message on the wind, Yakumo asks Mushra if he too can feel the winds of change. Does he realize what destiny plans for them? Mushra does. Yakumo tells him that their lives will never be the same again. The Guardians have told her that this is not the end of the battle. Lanancuras will be revived and will do everything he can to stop them. Mushra realizes that to fight Lanancuras is why Yakumo has summoned them. Sago and Kutal vow that the Kadrian king won't stop them. They're ready for him. Pleased by their pledges but exhausted by her efforts, Yakumo faints. The jewel in her pendant, up to now a warm pink color, grows dark and becomes black. Mushra worries that Yakumo used all her strength to save them from the maze. Fortunately she regains consciousness. However, if Yakumo does not survive, she warns, there will be nothing that can stop Lanancuras. Mushra vows that Mushrambo will stop the Kadrian. Sago urges Yakumo to save her strength. Kutal recommends that they get to Lanancuras first. Realizing the three Enterrans have accepted the fight she brought them to Shinzo to undertake, Binka is sad to think that she will not be able to join in. However, Mushra surprises her by asking her to join them. She happily agrees. Mushra says they're counting on her. A surprise ally joins the group. Hakuba, Yakumo's faithful robotic friend, comes up and tells them he will be their transportation. As the fighters make their final pledges to challenge Lanancuras, a rocky mountaintop in the distance begins to pulsate with a red light. Inside the mountain, Lanancuras is growing stronger. His body still encased in stone, he knows his time is near. Lanancuras can feel the power increasing within him. It won't be long before Yakumo is gone, and Mushrambo will face his final hour. The episode ends as red beams of power break through the stone Lanancuras's eyes. Comments
The opening shot of the Shinzo shrine shows a Greek temple in perfect condition. Scenes featuring Yakumo in previous episodes have always shown her outside standing among ruins. Question to ponder: Is Shinzo made whole again because Yakumo is inside the building this time? Lanancuras ArisesAwesome summary and comments written by LKK. Thank you!
The episode opens with the gang traveling through a wasteland similar to the Badlands area of the United States -- barren canyons surrounded by high plateaus. Kutal asks Yakumo to explain again whom they are facing. Mushra is impatient; she already told them while they were on Mount Shinzo. Yakumo, pendant glowing and riding in Hakuba, remembers the mountaintop conversation. In a flashback set on Mount Shinzo, Yakumo tells them that Lanancuras is escaping the meteorite. Mushra and Kutal vow to stop him while Sago urges Yakumo to rest. Yakumo worries that in the 500 years since his imprisonment, Lanancuras will have become more powerful than ever. All Enterrans will become refugees with nowhere to hide, she warns them. Returning from her memories, Yakumo sees her fears realized as a group of Enterran refugees walk by the five travelers. A refugee child carries an armful of white flowers. The child trips, dropping the flowers. As the line of refugees fades from sight, Yakumo picks up one of the dropped flowers. She recognizes it as the Enterran flower of hope. A closer view of the pulsating mountain seen in the distance at the end of Reviving Yakumo shows it to be the remains of the meteorite. It looks like the upturned half of a broken eggshell. A tall spire rises from the middle, Lanancuras's prison. Lanancuras is jubilant. Soon he will be free. A distance away, the gang reaches the top of one of the many plateaus and have their first clear glimpse of the meteorite mountain. Seeing the pulsating light, knowing what it portends, Mushra promises that Lanancuras will never escape while they are alive. Later that night in a small forest canyon, Yakumo kneels beside a river filling a glass with water for the Enterran flower of hope. Hoping the three Enterrans will be like the flower and bring salvation to the world again; Yakumo is startled out of her thoughts by Mushra's appearance. After saying that the flower is beautiful, he lets slip his true feelings for Yakumo. The flower is not as beautiful as she is. Embarrassed by his admission, Mushra edges away. Sago calls to him, asking for help. Sago is building a primitive shelter while Kutal is fanning the fire beneath a large cauldron. The two plan to let Yakumo take a relaxing bath to unwind, a concept Mushra finds puzzling. He suggests eating instead. Sago thinks the idea might work too, as long as Mushra is willing to cook the meal. Mushra offers to cook his dirt stew to Kutal and Sago's horror. The threesome's antics amuse Yakumo. Binka and the guys are relieved to hear her laugh for the first time in weeks. Happy that they have finally relieved some of Yakumo's tension, Sago and Kutal return to finish heating up her bath water. Rockets from behind the tree line stop the two in their tracks. Kadrian foot solders attack. Mushra attacks them and orders Yakumo to get away. Yakumo offers to help, but he refuses. The Enterrans provide cover while Binka and Yakumo reach their vehicles. Bazooka in hand, Binka provides cover for the guys, throwing a hand grenade towards the fight. Despite the fact that Binka got carried away by the excitement of the battle and launched the rocket before the Enterrans were safely away, the five manage to escape while the Enterran flower of hope -- left behind in their haste -- disintegrates. The next day, the five encounter yet another smoldering village. The strain of maintaining Lanancuras's tomb is taking its toll on Yakumo. Despite her protestations that she'll be fine, the others continue to worry about her. They offer to stop and let her rest. By sunset, they find a small cliff overhang to protect her while she sleeps. While Binka, Kutal, and Sago see to Yakumo's comfort, Mushra climbs into Hakuba. Binka wonders why Mushra would be playing around when Yakumo is unconscious, but Sago realizes the Enterran is worried that someone needs to know how to drive Hakuba if Yakumo is unconscious. In his efforts to control Hakuba who is fighting equally hard to resist him, Mushra accidentally displays six En cards floating in the air. Hakuba tells him that they are the En cards of the six Enterran leaders the guys had defeated in battle. Yakumo has been collecting and storing them. Handle them with care, the robot warns. There may come a time when the guys need to assimilate the cards. Later that night, Hakuba explains further. An infinite number of parallel histories exist. One history is the current destiny they live in. Another one disappeared when the guys defeated the evil Mushrambo. In the current history, the meteor carrying Lanancuras fell to earth. This is the history that Binka and the guys are familiar with. Half the humans were killed when the meteor hit. The remaining half joined with the Enterrans to rebuild the world they live in today. Hakuba tells Binka and the guys about another history though. In that destiny, the Enterrans lead by six generals declared war on the humans and wiped them out. As the guys of that destiny traveled to Shinzo, they destroyed the six leaders. By defeating those opponents, they changed history and entered another timeline. Mushra is amazed at the idea of another history. Binka points out that Yakumo must have known about it; that was why Yakumo sent her to find Mushra, Sago, and Kutal. Hakuba concurs. They are the chosen Enterrans, he tell them, who in their hyperforms can combine to create the all-powerful warrior Mushrambo, the being on whose shoulders rests the fate of the planet. Hakuba explains the history of Lanancuras next. Hundreds of years ago, after destroying countless civilizations, Lanancuras confronted a race of celestial beings and was defeated in battle by their bravest warrior. He was condemned to the imprisonment within the meteor and set adrift in the universe until the end of time. Unfortunately, the meteor collided with earth, and the seal was weakened. Yakumo has worked to keep the seal intact, but the struggle has greatly weakened her. The four realize that the only way to save Yakumo is to destroy Lanancuras. At that moment, another seismic quake rocks the land; the quake is more powerful than any previous ones. Lanancuras is close to breaking out. At the brightly glowing meteorite, the rocks begin to split. Lanancuras calls his army to life. Stone warriors rise from the ground. Yakumo's pendant glows alerting her to the danger. Awakened, she destroys the soldiers, the meteorite's aura fades. But the cost to Yakumo is heavy. She finally admits that Lanancuras's powers are destroying her. Although it is still nighttime, the five decide to leave immediately. Traveling through a tight gorge, the group is attacked by three villagers who mistake them for Kadrians. Yakumo urges the villagers to flee, but they insist on attacking the aliens who destroyed their village. The villagers run off to look for the aliens. They find them. The gang has stopped to rest for the remainder of the night. At dawn, Mushra realizes that he must find a way to let Yakumo know how he feels. He goes off alone in search of another flower of hope. Another seismic quake strikes the region. Mushra is knocked off a cliff, finds a flower, and falls into a river trying to pick it. Back at the campsite, Yakumo seems more invigorated after her rest. She assures the others that they need not worry about her. Despite her protestations, Sago remains concerned. Kutal wonders how she can hold off Lanancuras if the two end up facing off. Mushra returns to Sago's tongue-lashing about going off alone. Binka spots the flower hidden behind his back. The flower lifts everyone's spirits, especially Yakumo's. Their brief moment of happiness is interrupted by another quake. Yakumo realizes that the villagers are trying to attack the Kadrian rock soldier again. The guys rush to defend the villagers but they are too late. The villagers have been carded. Yakumo blames herself. Another rock soldier rises from the ground, trapping the guys. Yakumo destroys the soldier with a psychic blast. The strain is too much; she passes out. At the meteorite, the reduction in Yakumo's efforts allows Lanancuras to further crack his rock prison. Large chunks of the meteorite rock begin to float into the air. Lanancuras, still encased in stone but no longer attached to the ground, rises into the sky. A massive ball of energy expands from the impact site destroying the surrounding landscape, reaching the group. They flee in their vehicles. The landscape has been transformed into a sight from another planet. While Yakumo lies unconscious in Hakuba, the Enterran flower of hope in her hands, Mushra yells for Lanancuras to show himself. He's furious for a fight and hyperforms. Sago and Kutal hyperform too. A large ray of light descends from the sky followed by Lanancuras, still surrounded by rocks. "In the name of the Kadrian empire," he proclaims, "I claim this planet as my own. It is useless to resist me." Energy streams from his body and travel around the world setting off massive destruction. The episode ends as Lanancuras announces that from now on, Enterrans exist only to serve him. Comments
1) The dialogue in the flashback sequence set on top of Mount Shinzo where Yakumo tells the four about Lanancuras is different from the dialogue used in the previous episode. |
