EPISODES 4-6 BRIEF SUMMARIES

Stubborn Aesthetics

The episode opens with black crows ominously circling a lifeless body ninety-five percent hidden behind a park bench.

At STN-J, Robin's been given a stack of files to research. Suspicious, unsolved murder cases from the past two years occurring at Yotsuya Pond Park. Robin is very familiar with that park for she walks through it daily on her way to church. Just earlier, she had struck up a conversation with a young female painter named Sayoko.

Later that day, Robin and Miho have coffee at Harry's. They discuss their special abilities, class, and Amon's coldness towards Robin. It seems earlier that day Amon had given Robin a pair of glasses despite her insistence that her eyes were fine.

Once they leave Harry's, the two girls head to the park to look for clues. After they separate, Miho finds the remains of many dead crows. In the meantime Robin has encountered Sayoko, who becomes enraged when her easel topples over. It appears that the young girl retaliates with her witchcraft when someone or something ruins the beauty of her world. Sayoko uses her witchcraft to hurl knife-like attacks that can rip a person apart. Robin dodges the attacks by standing behind a tree. When Miho approaches the dangerous situation, Robin quickly puts on her new glasses and immobilizes the young artist. Amon and Sakaki arrive in time to use the orbo, and Sayoko is captured for Factory.

Smells Like The Wandering Spirit

The members of STN-J are searching through vagrant slums looking for a missing witch....a 46 year-old man who seemed to have all the comforts. He disappeared without taking any money, which raised suspicions.

Just as Sakaki peeks into a makeshift cardboard home filled with pictures, a vagrant grabs his head in pain and fear. When the man runs from the underground shelter, Sakaki gives chase. Sadly, the chase ends in tragedy. The man ran into the street and was hit by a passing bus (Splattttt). The deceased man is taken to Factory where they notice that not only was he NOT a witch, but he emanated an interesting scent.

Back at STN-J, Sakaki is reprimanded for his actions, while the others discuss a witches power to control ones mind. It is called "Single Eye". The witch is unable to control the person totally, however, he can send strong feelings of fear and anxiety into their mind.

Later that day, Sakaki returns to his investigation. A seemingly kind homeless man suggests Sakaki check out another area for the missing man. After arriving at the suggested area, Sakaki (again) encounters a man enveloped in fear. The boy calls Amon, who instructs him to keep the man calm. Sakaki put his hands in the air and approached the man calmly. Suddenly a flock of birds take flight scaring the vagrant, and he runs in fear. This time Sakaki doesn't chase the vagrant but tries to head him off. Luckily, Amon arrives in time to stop the man with an elbow to the gut. Amon informs Sakaki that this man was probably a decoy.

They return to the underground shelter to find the pictures gone from the cardboard home. Suddenly, everyone notices that same aroma just as "Single Eye" enters Sakaki's mind. He falls to his knees grasping his head and moaning. Robin sooths him back to normal. Amon informs them the missing man was found....he had committed suicide.

At Harry's, Robin learns that people with "Single Eye" can only see out of one of their eyes. Robin realizes at that point that she probably knew who that was.

Raindrops

After practicing her craft using the glasses, Robin heads for home. Unfortunately, her scooter runs out of gas just as a storm is approaching. A kind women (Eiko) passing by gives the young girl a lift home. On the way, the women tells Robin that she is on her way to reprimand an employee who didn't show up for work. Robin agrees that employees should show responsibility. When they reach Robin's apartment, Eiko gives Robin an umbrella, and they part on friendly terms.

Eiko proceeds to the apartment of Chie, the young subordinate. She tells Chie to make sure to come to work the next day. Oddly, Chie seems almost trance-like.....and appears to be talking to herself. On route home, Eiko loses control of her car when attacked by a doll, which results in her death.

Robin hears of the accident, and despite the arguments of the others, wants to investigate. Some digging on Michaels part revealed that Chie had a boyfriend that died from severe blood loss three years ago. Not only that, but she did have witch ancestry.

Acting on his own, Amon goes to Chie's apartment and finds a room full of dolls. Chie was not home at the time, but one of the dolls informs her of the intrusion. Amon is then attacked by a doll on his way home.

A little later, Robin goes to Chie's apartment as well. This time Chie is home a listening to her dolls. They tell her to attack and kill Robin. Robin uses her flames just as Amon enters the scene and shoots Chie full of orbo.

In the end, only 49 of the 50 dolls were found.....uh oh...
