EPISODES 13-15 BRIEF SUMMARIES

The Eyes of Truth

An inquisitor (Koushon) arrives from STN headquarters. His purpose...to determine whether the witch known as Shiro Masuda would be suitable as a hunter. Robin and Amon are there to greet him.

While he is setting up his equipment, Robin and Koushon discuss the events that took place during Robin's own inquisition at the monastery. As they are talking, Amon enters with Shiro Masuda.

The inquisition puts Shiro in defense mode. Koushon keeps prodding him for information regarding a horrific murder that took place two years ago. The corpse was crushed. Shiro insists he didn't know how the body was crushed, but Koushon insists he does and demands that the witch show his true powers. The stressed out Shiro fears he may kill Koushon, and if it wasn't for the cylinders of orbo, that may well have happened. When everything settles, Koushon says the inquisition is over.

Shortly afterwards, Amon and Robin discuss what had happened. Basically the conversation boils down to "with power comes responsibility" (heh, heh, little Spiderman quip).

That evening, Robin learns that Shiro hasn't had a steady job for 2 years. Seems Solomon was responsible....using him as a mere tool. At the same time, the poor man picked up some food from a nearby convenience store and sits quietly at a playground to eat. Unfortunately, three young thugs attempt to mug Shiro. When they begin to kick and beat him, Shiro snaps. Using his powers, he rolls the human body into a deformed ball of appendages until it explodes (Eewwww...was I graphic enough?). Amon and Robin arrive in time to save one of the thugs. After Amon is sent flying Robin uses her powers and fries the man. She sheds a tear at the outcome.

In the distance, the inquisitor witnessed everything. What could he be thinking???

Loaded Guns

Robin and Amon are involved in a warehouse hunt, but something strange is happening. Ogham's Circles are appearing below Robin, and it appears that she is the target. She finds shell casings that prove she was fired upon, but once rejoining Amon, he does not support her and sends her home.

At STN-J, Robin confides in Michael. She gives him the casings and asks him to check into it without telling Amon. Michael finds that the bullet is over 5 years old and was once a means of killing witches. He confides in Miho.....who is worried about a trap.

That evening Robin arrives home to find a mysterious letter and something even more terrifying! Upon entering the apartment, she sees Touko has been bound and gagged upon a barrier sigil. Suddenly, the lights go out and gun shots blast through the apartment windows. Robin takes cover but a bullet breaks through her fire shield and grazes her. Sadly, Touko is caught in the line of fire and severely injured. Miho and Sakaki burst into the apartment firing at the intruders. The men flee. Robin attempts to give chase but runs into Amon and passes out.

In the aftermath, Miho and the others discuss the similarities between this incident and the death of their former hunter (Kate) eight months ago. They begin to doubt Amon.

Meanwhile Zaizen is angrily beating Amon. He insists that if Amon would have followed directions, Touko would not have been hurt.

Whaaa? Is this some kind of conspiracy? Don't miss the next exciting episode!!

Time To Say Goodbye

Robin has taken refuge at STN-J headquarters. While the others try to decipher who's behind the attack, Amon visits the hospital looking in on the critically injured Touko. He hangs his head and whispers, "I'm sorry." Amon departs to check out Touko's apartment.

Back at STN-J, Michael attempts to trace the ammo used. He is hampered by very tight security. Dojima leaves to investigate a possible suspect, but Miho's suspicions lie with Amon. Robin tries to ease those suspicions remembering what Master (Harry's owner) had told her earlier that day when dropping off lunch.

Just as Robin went to make coffee for everyone , there is a commotion outside of the STN-J gates. Suddenly, an explosion rings out and dozens of vested gunmen charge in firing. Robin looks on in horrified disbelief as her coworkers are gunned down one by one. The gunmen turn towards Robin and open fire. She dodges the bullets landing on the ground.

Another explosion takes place. Through the smoke, a dark figure grabs Robin and pulls her to safety. It's Amon! In an effort to escape, he takes her down the restricted entry stairwells. While they are fleeing, Robin asks Amon about the former hunter, Kate. Amon admits he hunted her, because she had betrayed STN-J. He then confides to Robin that Zaizen had given the order to hunt HER, but he couldn't do it. He looks at her reassuringly and says, "I never thought of you as a witch." Then he gives her a slip of paper with a name of a contact and forces her into a secret underground tunnel....closing it quickly.

Through the echoes of the tunnel, a tearful Robin hears gunshots. Amon collapses limply to the ground....he is still semi-conscious. He overhears the voices in the aftermath.....

"The reason for this attack is NOT what you may think."
