EPISODES 22-24 BRIEF SUMMARIES

Sympathy for the Devil

Amon and Dojima talk while Nagira lies in the backseat of the car in his induced slumber. Dojima asks Amon how much he knows about Zaizen, and was he aware that their former boss planned to make ordinary humans witch hunters with the use of orbo? Amon was unaware. The two resolve to investigate just what Factory is up to.

The scene changes to Robin. She has been reading the old diary they found in episode 22. Unfortunately, the final few pages have been ripped out. The photograph with Father Juliano weighs heavily on her mind.

Michael, Sakaki, and Miho have been doing some investigating. They found that five years ago Solomon headquarters was doing its own genetic research, but the project was abandoned, and the results were never publicized. They wonder....could this have something to do with orbo?? If so, was headquarters responsible for their ambush??

The next morning Nagira's secretary rudely awakens Robin looking for Nagira. Seems the lawyer is going to miss a meeting with a client. Robin insists she has no idea where he may be.

At factory headquarters, Zaizen is aware that STN-J is checking up on him. He can see their every move. Zaizen's head scientist informs him that human test subjects are beginning to have serious reactions to the orbo. It appears that part of a witches personality is left within the compound, which causes a rejection when hunting other witches. Zaizen wants to cover this up, as well as, take care of the members of STN-J.

Amon enters a hotel room to find a cheerful Nagira and Dojima joking about Robin's powers. Dojima waves her goodbyes so the two brothers can have a heart to heart discussion. Nagira asks Amon if he remains angry with their father for choosing a seed as his mother. Amon recaps how his mother was always very kind and gentle until her powers manifested. He fears the day when his dormant seed awakens. Nagira claims that witches, seeds, and humans all look the same to him. Then he asks what about Robin? Amon thinks Robin is keeping something from Solomon. Nagira tells Amon that it's not true as even Robin is unaware of the reason headquarters is hunting her. Finally, Nagira tells Amon to do what he must do...for it is out of his hands.

A little while later, there is a knock on Robin's door. Robin steps back in shocked surprise when Amon enters with his gun drawn. Amon admits he was ordered by Juliano Colegrie to hunt her. He then pulls out the missing letter Robin had received the day of the attack at Touko's apartment. It was because of the letter that Amon saved her during STN-J's ambush. Seems Juliano feared her powers were becoming too strong and was struggling over what to do. Robin closes her eyes and tells Amon to do what he feels in his heart is right. He lowers his gun with a relieved grin. Just then, Dojima calls Amon to inform him that Factory is on the move and seems to be following a motorcycle. Amon leaves to meet up with Dojima and Robin accompanies him (Yeah, the team is back together!!).

On a dark, secluded street, the Factory vehicle pulls out right in front of the cyclist causing him to take a nasty spill. The hooded hunters surround the dazed boy while he is removing his helmet. Dojima and the others arrive just in time to see that the cyclist was Sakaki!! There is an exchange of gunfire. Robin uses her skill so Sakaki is able to creep away. When Factory's hunters begin to collapse from the adverse effects of the orbo and Robin's attacks, Amon tells the young girl to stop. The factory vehicle escapes, which makes Dojima very unhappy. She's not the only one, Sakaki is furious....."Why are they hunting ME????" Amon realizes that the STN-J staff has now become the hunted. He asks where Miho is??

Outside STN-J, Zaizen's vehicle is seen driving off in the darkness, a silent Miho sits in the backseat. Inside the building, the phone beckons. Michael looks at it sheepishly....fearful to pick it up.....
