Wolf's Rain is an intriguing series that aired in Japan from January, 2003 to June, 2003. At that time, it ended at episode 26, however, the ending left many unanswered questions. Recently, Japan aired the final four episodes (I guess you could call them an OVA) putting more closure to the anime.

The series depicts Earth as a slowly dying wasteland except for some cities which are run by Nobles. As with most anime, these Nobles are vying for complete be prepared for battles and bloodshed. In the midst of humanity's chaos, a legend is told of the existence of a glorious world called Paradise. The legend also tells that a great God gave birth to wolves whom are his messengers, and it is the wolves who gave birth to mankind. Human's believe this to be a myth as wolves have been extinct for 200 years. The truth is...wolves are not extinct, but living among mankind by taking human form.

One lone wolf (Kiba) enters the city after smelling a flower. He is drawn to the scent and the life form (Cheza) it is emanating from. Is Cheza the key he is searching for? In his quest, Kiba is joined by three others. Together they battle the elements, soldiers, and a slew of unfriendly creatures in order to one day live happily in Paradise.

Dying or being killed isn't something unnatural. Living aimlessly without a purpose is. (Kiba)
