Arashi is (again) beyond hungry. Thankfully, Tohha, the chief of Tengallo Village finds him and takes him to the Village. Hi granddaughter, Karon, fed him generously. Rumor has it that the Village was created by a Zoid Hunter so the villagers are not afraid of Zoids. Also, Zoids occasionally get excavated near the village.
Once a year, the village teams up with a neighboring village and holds the Zoid Festival. Chief Pukya of the neighboring Baseba Village, shows up. The two chiefs do not get along that great and the size of their hats is a major competition for them. Chief Tohha asks Arashi to compete in a Zoid battle for their village. Baseba Village already has a participant. Arashi jumps at the chance.
That evening Arashi goes scouting to check out the competition. It's Kuroame from Team Supreme! After a two-hour discussion (where Arashi does most/all of the talking), Kuroame explained why he is competing. He liked their hats so he promised to take part in the festival. Arashi tells Kuroame that his dad's partner was a Grachiosaurus too.
While returning to Tengallo Village, members of Death Metal are secretly observing the boy.
The next day, Death Metal arrive just as the competition between the Wild Liger and Grachiosaurus is taking place. They want the Wild Liger to be used as a tool to conquer the World. Arashi says the Liger is not a tool but his precious partner. Wild Blast! The Wild Liger's king of claw sends the Death Metal Zoids out of the arena! When the platoon Leader wants to take the Villagers hostage, Kuroame steps in. Smash them, Grachiosaurus with my soul. Wild Blast! The 3rd Platoon Commander, Azas, and his 2nd in commands, Zamas and Sodas get blasted away (like Team Rocket in Pokemon).
Just as the sun is setting, Arashi and Kuroame say their goodbyes and resolve to settle their battle someday.
