The battles from the last episode have left Team Freedom's Zoids in terrible shape. In trying to locate a place to make repairs, they unknowingly (until too late) find a Death Metal Camp. When Team Freedom are chased along a river and surrounded (DM on one side and Drake on the other), Onigiri and the Gannontoise prepare for battle. Unfortunately, a huge wave sweeps both he and Drake away. Salt swiftly jumps in the water to save Onigiri.
All three boys find themselves trapped in a cave. Onigiri wraps Drake's arm injury that occurred in their previous battle, because it opened up and was bleeding. The young scientist has a difficult time keeping the peace between Salt and Drake, but he does learn that Drake may have a different view of Zoids than what he is letting on.
After escaping the cave, the boys see Drake's Gilraptor is trapped under some rocks. Salt and Onigiri work to release it. Elsewhere, Arashi and the others have found the Gannontoise. Soon Team Freedom is reunited. Onigiri boards his Gannontoise and using his wild blast is able to free the Gilraptor.
Drake and the Gilraptor leave quickly. In an unusual twist, he deters other Death Metal goons away from Team Freedom's Zoids. Could Drake be having a change of heart??
