As the female Titan gets closer and closer, Eren is torn between obeying Captain Levi's commands to move forward or turning into a Titan to save lives. Petra begs the boy to trust them.
A flashback shows Eren having difficulty controlling his ability. He even partially transformed at the menial task of picking up a spoon. This caused his squad members to ready their blades. However, they soon learn that Eren did not do it on purpose, and begin to trust him.
Back to the present, the female Titan has gained momentum and is bearing down on them. Once past a particular clearing in the forest, an order rings out from Commander Erwin Smith. "FIRE!" he shouts. The female Titan has been subdued.....but for how long!
