In a more serious atmosphere than expected, Bird enters the stage with enthusiasm, and his opponent, Carlo Maruko, demands a "serious battle" for some reason.
Carlo brings out the full power of the bey that Bird once used, and stands in his way, showing strength that makes it hard to believe that he is on the verge of retirement.
After the battle, Carlo explains why he asked Bird for a "serious battle."
NOTE: Carlo belonged to a strong team that made it up to floor 30, but then they were defeated by Pendragon. The Team began to get defeated often and were eventually demoted. Their sponsor was cancelling them. This is why Carlo made the decision to retire.
