When Karura uses a Bey that allows her to change her fighting style during the battle, Bird's mind reels at the curse cast by Reiyu Kuwabara.
Reiyu, who is Team Goldias' second Blader, says things to Bird that reinforce the curse.
Tenka finds out what the curse is, but even though she tells Bird, the pressure on him keeps him incapacitated.
