Highlights:
A young, weak Kawaki drags himself away from the Kara Organization. He is approached by Garo, who is surprised Kawaki has no physical damage from the experiments/treatments done on him. When Garo retaliates after the boy won't listen to him, Kawaki's arm illuminates and damages Garo's head and chin.
Several years later, Jigen is having a nice meal while Delta watches impatiently. Koji Kashin was supposed to retrieve the vessel (Kawaki), but he hasn't returned. Jigen gives Delta permission to go look, but she must follow Koji's lead. Delta takes the opportunity to track down Garo, and says they are heading to the Land of Fire to bring back the vessel.
Returning to Boruto, they have found the unconscious Kawaki. He has the same black diamond shaped mark on his hand as Boruto. Suddenly, both Boruto and Kawaki appear to be in pain. A flashback is shown showing when Kawaki's real father handed his son over to Jigen. Kawaki wakes up with hostility, "Don't touch me!" he screams while surrounded by a blue glowing aura.
After gaining control, Kawaki asked who they are. He is shocked to see that Boruto has the Karma. Konohamaru states Leaf protocol is to take him into custody.
Koji is watching from the trees a distance away when Delta shows up. She brought the Outer, Garo. The Outer makes an explosive entrance in front of Kawaki, Boruto, and the others.
Konohamaru realizes that Kawaki is "The Vessel" as Kawaki and Garo engage in battle.
