Highlights of the episode:

Sasuke informs Konohamaru that he will be training Boruto for the upcoming Chunin exams. He, also, tells the younger man thank you for being kind to Sarada.

That evening, Boruto asks Sasuke what his father's weaknesses were when he was young. Sasuke explains that Naruto had plenty of weakness, but he overcame them and became Hokage.

Meanwhile, the Lee group, the Shikadai group, the Sumire group, Sarada and more of the students are preparing for the Chunin Exams. Boruto's desire to get back at his father, has driven him to use the scientific ninja tool. However, his conscience is fighting it.

Elsewhere, Momoshiki is learning of the chakra fruit Kaguya left behind. He learns that the chakra of the divine tree was dispersed and became nine monsters also known as the tailed beasts. The ones who took those tailed beasts into their body are known as Jinchuriki. Killer Bee has the Eight Tails and Naruto has the Nine Tails. After learning of the tailed beasts, Momoshiki goes after Killer Bee...attacking and absorbing his chakra.

Boarding the train at the Sand Village, are Gaara's adopted son, Shinki, and two other children taking the Chunin exam. Once they have departed, Gaara hears the voice of Shukaku. The one-tails informs Gaara that his connection with the Eight Tails was suddenly cut off. Gaara thanks his former tailed beast for the information.

The evening before the exam, Boruto's determination grows stronger. His desire to win is becoming stronger than his conscience!
