Gino Weinberg

Gino is a fun loving, sweet character that one cannot help but like. His first appearance in the anime series isn't until the 2nd Season, where he is often shown playfully teasing Suzaku. Of course, Suzaku is never amused. Gino is a very skilled pilot gaining him the title of Britannia's 3rd Knight of the Round (there are a total of 12 Knights). He pilots the Tristan Knightmare frame, and is almost always victorious. When he is defeated by Kallen's Guren Flight Enabled Mecha, Gino is both impressed and infatuated with her. In fact, when she is subsequently captured in episode 10, he makes it a point to visit her asking if she intends to return to Britannia as a Statdfield. He eventually learns her intentions, but that doesn't seem to change his feelings. Gino was brought up in an elite, noble Britannian family. An upbringing that did not convey the real world as a whole. He enrolls at Ashford Academy in order to experience what its like to be a regular person. Unlike many of the other characters, Gino follows his heart when he feels something is unjust. That is proven when he is held prisoner after disagreeing with Schneizel's plans to assassinate the Emperor. He is eventually released and fights for what he believes is right. After all the smoke clears, Gino fans will be happy to learn that he survives the tumultuous events of the series and is seen happily attending the wedding of Ohgi and Villetta. |
