Highlights:
The mysterious Digimon that infests the Network continues to evolve. It transforms into a menacing figure (Algomon) and overpowers Taichi and the others. It goes on a rampage and the missile closes in on Tokyo. That very moment Taichi and Yamato combine forces to create Omegamon.
Even after defeating Algomon, the missile continues to head towards Tokyo. Omegamon is able to change the missiles trajectory so it misses Tokyo and explodes in space. Taichi is transported back to the train station. After checking on his mom and Hikari, Taichi and Koshiro return home to get ready for Summer Camp.
While at Summer Camp, Taichi and Koshiro discuss the incident and Digimon (while we some glimpses of Joe and Sora).
After the boys return home, power outages begin to spread in several areas in the city. The origin is a power supply network error. Koshiro determines that if the power outage continues to grow, in about 72 hours, the city will completely stop functioning. Suddenly, their digivices begin to glow. Taichi races to meet up with Koshiro by the station. He passes Sora on the way. Before he can reach Koshiro, Taichi is transported into "The Digital World??"
