Episode 63: The Crest of Courage

Summary:

Taichi, Sora, and their digimon enter a castle hoping that it is Taichi's destination. They reached this place looking for a clue to stop the Great Catastrophe. With a bright sword piercing through his body, Taichi alone is sent into an unknown world where ferocious Digimon live and told to prove himself by a golden bird (Valkyrimon).

Taichi first encounters a Goblimon attacking a Botamon. He rescues the small digimon.

While protecting Botamon, in the absence of Agumon, Taichi is given trials that he must overcome. This means surviving attack after attack from dangerous digimon. When multiple Allomon attack, Taichi proves his bravery by keeping Botamon safe. "I'll never give up", he says, "I can't afford to end it here!" When Taichi was in trouble, Botamon illuminates the Crest of Courage and evolves to a luminous Greymon, who destroys the Allomon.

Valkyrimon appears to Taichi and explains how during the ancient war the Digimons' hearts that wished to conquer evil for peace became one. In that moment, the warrior's souls gathered and became the being with great power, causing a miracle. He says that the great power has already made an appearance twice by the chosen ones hands. (appears to be Omnimon) The key to activating the great power is the heart.

When Taichi snaps out of it, Agumon tells him that he had zoned out for a while. Agumon had been by his side the whole time.
