Highlights:
It's a futuristic World where hologram advertisements litter the streets. The SNS (social network system) is buzzing about the appearance of a hologram-like translucent monster called "The Sewn-lip Man." They are calling him a "Hologram Ghost."
At Hazakura Middle High School, a young female student is attacked in the auditorium. Someone has stolen her time making her age in seconds.
At the Hazakura Boy's Dormitory, Hiro and friend (Kotaro Nomura) have breakfast and head to school. They pass a police car on campus, which triggers a memory. Hiro's dad disappeared just before his Junior High entrance ceremony.
An instructor asks Hiro to take some boxes to storage. On their way back Nomura wants to get info on the Sewn-Lip Man so they break into the auditorium. It isn't long before the hologram ghost shows himself. "Both of your time is mine," he says. Nomura's time is sucked away first, and he is reduced to a very old man. Just as the ghost is about to get Hiro, the lights go on. Adults had arrived and escorted Hiro out, but the Sewn-lip Man is watching.
Back at the dorms, Hiro gets a visit from his dad, who says he's in the Digital World. The man tells Hiro to put on the digital device and take care of his little brother, Gammamon. Just as Gammamon is materialized, the Sewn-lip Man comes crashing through Hiro's window. He says he is Clockmon. Gammamon pushes Clockmon outside to fight. Clockmon tries to steal Gommamon's time but Hiro tosses a small tree limb at Clockmon, which instantly ages to a large chestnut tree that comes crashing down on Clockmon. (In other words, Clockmon fast forwards time).
Gammamon uses Breaclaw on Clockmon, which breaks the clock's hands and returns all the stolen time to his victims. "Your time will definitely be mine!" Clockmon says as he is fleeing.
Gammamon says, "My power came from Hiro.... so take good care of me!"
