A mummy is wrapping up tired humans and taking them away. What is going on?
Elsewhere, Hiro is trying to learn more about his so-called "little brother" Gammamon. He asks about the Digital World and his father, Hokuto, but Gammamon knows nothing except that he is hungry. Hiro gives him various food to see how the small digimon responds. Seems that he likes chocolate the most.
While at the grocery store, Hiro picks up Ghost Magazine which is featuring an article on the Mummy in Ueno. Starting last month at the New National Ueno General Museum, the ancient Egyptian mummies have been on special display. There is a rumor that people go missing around the area. They say a huge man fully covered in bandages was witnessed kidnapping people. Hiro wonders if it could be a digimon.
Hiro and Gammamon visit the museum and stay until after it has closed. They encounter Mummymon, a digimon. Hiro asks about his father and sighs heavily when Mummymon says he doesn't know the man or how to get to the Digital World. Believing Hiro has the look of exhaustion, Mummymon wraps him up and immobilizes Gammamon.
Gammamon gets loose and chases down Mummymon. The small digimon frees Hiro, but Mummymon begins to fire at them. "How dare you take my patient!" he yells!
Just as Hiro is about to be captured again, he says the right words, his digivice glows, and Gammamon evolves to Betelgammamon! He uses Sorchot on Mummymon. Hiro then explains that humans don't resurrect so his treatment is incorrect. Mummymon says he will take Hiro's advice and learn more about healing humans.
On their way home, Hiro and Gammamon see Ruli followed by Angoramon. What!?!
