Mephisto is a mysterious fortune-teller said to solve any problem. Rumors say that he is never wrong. His tent can show up anywhere, but you don't know when and where it will appear. Not only that, but those who seek him out have been turned into a statue.
Ruli was asked by her best friend, Mika, to find the fortune-teller's location. Around that time, Jellymon, while searching for junk/bargains, finds a statue of a young woman. She informs Kiyoshiro and Hiro, and promises to take them to it tomorrow.
The next day, Ruli, Mika, and Aoi find Mephisto's tent at a construction site. He is taking only two people. One girl was already line, and Mika will go next. Angoramon hears strange noises from in the tent prompting Ruli to go and investigate. She stumbles across the human statues. She then watches, horrified, to see the girl that was in front of Mika turned to stone!
Uh oh! Mephisto catches Ruli spying on him when Hiro attempts to call! Mephisto has taken Ruli's phone and found the work they did to locate him, which happens to form a circle. He says, "The circle will become the foothold on which the human world will be consumed." However, he needs more of his minions to materialize and converting joy to fear seems to speed up their materialization.
Mephisto shows his true devilish form just before Angoramon comes crashing into the tent. Ruli and her friends run, but Mephisto's minions give chase. Ruli uses her Digivice when things become dire.
Once in a snowy Digital World, Angoramon feels power coursing through him. He evolves to Symbaangoramon! Ruli shouts "Landlizer" so Symbaangoramon may incapacitate Mephisto's devil minions. Suddenly, Mephisto shows up who is actually Phelesmon, an ultimate Digimon. Hiro and Kiyoshiro arrive to assist with Betelgammamon and Teslajellymon. Mephisto leaves saying, "I'll have to return when I'm free of interference." He changes all of the statues back to human.
Mika and Aoi are looking for her when Ruli returns. They know that Ruli has secrets and hope one day she will confide in them.
