Rumors circulating on the Internet say that a werewolf has appeared in Hitoyo-machi. Curious by this rumor, Ruli, Hiro, and Kiyoshiro go visit Ruli Tsukiyono's relatives who live in Hitoyo-machi.
Once they arrive, they find that the werewolf appearances are more than just a rumor. The people of the town are fearful for night after night people are getting attacked by some monster!
As it turns out, Hitoyo-machi has an old legend where a werewolf's curse befalls the town, attacking the people once every 100 years. Not only that, but Ruli is shocked to learn that the legend involves the Tsukiyono family.
The townspeople grow tense, wondering who will be attacked next. An old woman (Granny Sachi) in the town says that someone from the Tsukiyono family must be sacrificed in order to stop the curse. Disgusted by the thought of a human sacrifice, Ruli volunteers to be the sacrifice.
On a rainy evening, Ruli approaches the hall of the shrine at the hour of the rat (midnight). As it turns out, the digimon, Manticoremon, is what is wreaking havoc. After their digimon are attacked at the shrine, Ruli stands up to the menacing digimon. Her strength and resilience empower Symbaangoramon, who then super evolves to Lamortmon.
As Manticoremon is getting pummeled by Lamortmon, the Angel, Darcmon, appears. Seems Manticoremon ate the data on the legend and now believes he is the Werewolf.
Darcmon removed all the legend's data from Manticoremon. As they are leaving, Darcmon promises that this will never happen again.
